Zara Tower – Luxury Suites and Apartments
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney hotels, and Zara Tower honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know how Wentworth Ave can feel a bit sterile with all those office buildings? Well, this place somehow manages to feel like a proper home base right in the thick of it all. The lobby’s got this understated elegance thing going on, not flashy or trying too hard, just… well, it works.
What really got me was the apartment setup – I mean, you’re getting actual living space here, not just a hotel room with a tiny desk shoved in the corner. The kitchen was surprisingly well-kitted out (I actually cooked breakfast a couple times instead of grabbing overpriced hotel food), and the living area had enough room to spread out properly. The beds are seriously comfortable too – I’m usually a light sleeper, but even with the city bustle outside, I slept like a rock. Speaking of outside noise, it’s there but not overwhelming, kind of like that gentle city hum that reminds you you’re in the heart of Sydney without keeping you awake.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to be central without the tourist circus. You’re a two-minute walk from Hyde Park – which, let’s be real, is probably Sydney’s most underrated spot for morning jogs or just clearing your head. Chinatown’s right there when you want proper late-night eats, and you can easily walk to Circular Quay without dealing with buses or trains. The staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood too, not just the standard “there’s a restaurant around the corner” responses you usually get. One guy at the front desk told me about this little coffee spot on Liverpool Street that I never would’ve found otherwise – tiny place, but arguably the best flat white I had all week. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (it’s the CBD, what do you expect?), but they’ve got valet service that’s actually worth the extra cost if you’re driving. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready yet” nonsense even though I showed up earlier than expected. The whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess? Like staying at a friend’s really nice place rather than being processed through a hotel machine.
