Relaxing 1BR w Pools & SPA, Gym in Olympic Park
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Relaxing 1BR w Pools & SPA, Gym in Olympic Park, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Sydney Olympic Park, and you can actually feel the energy of the area the moment you arrive. The building itself has that modern Australian apartment-style vibe, nothing too flashy, but clean and well-maintained with plenty of parking right on site (which, trust me, is a huge win in Sydney).
The Space Itself
The one-bedroom setup works really well — it’s more like staying in a proper apartment than a hotel room. You’ve got a full kitchen that’s actually functional, not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely handle making coffee. I mean, you could genuinely cook a proper meal here if you wanted to. The living area flows nicely into the bedroom, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. The whole place has floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light, which makes everything feel bigger than it actually is.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally in Olympic Park, so if you’re here for an event at ANZ Stadium or Qudos Bank Arena, you can practically walk there. But even if you’re not, the train connections are fantastic. The Olympic Park station is right there, and you can get into the city center in about 30 minutes. What really surprised me was how quiet it is despite being so close to all the action. The area has this interesting mix of parkland and modern development that somehow just works.
Facilities That Actually Matter
The pools (yes, plural) are definitely the highlight here. There’s an indoor pool that’s perfect year-round, and the outdoor one is great when the weather’s nice — which, let’s face it, is most of the time in Sydney. The spa facilities are solid without being over-the-top, and the gym has everything you need for a decent workout. I actually used it a couple of times, and it wasn’t one of those hotel gyms with three broken machines. The equipment is well-maintained and there’s usually plenty of space.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really stands out? The whole setup just makes sense for couples — apparently they rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and I can see why. It’s got that perfect balance of being close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you’re not in the middle of the chaos. The restaurant options in the area are pretty decent too, though having that full kitchen means you’re not stuck eating out every meal. Honestly, it’s one of those places where you could easily extend your stay and not feel like you’re missing out on anything. The value for what you get is really solid, especially considering you’re getting apartment-style living with hotel-style amenities.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
