This place sits right in Potts Point, which means you’re basically perched above one of the most stunning stretches of Sydney Harbour, watching ferries chug back and forth while the Opera House does its thing in the distance.

The thing about staying in Potts Point is that you’re in this perfect sweet spot – close enough to walk down to Circular Quay when you want the tourist stuff, but far enough away that you’re not drowning in cruise ship crowds every morning. I mean, you can actually hear the harbour at night instead of just traffic, which is pretty rare for Sydney. The hotel itself feels like someone took a solid 4-star place and then said “you know what, let’s actually make the views the star here” – and it works. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Sydney real estate we’re talking about), but honestly, when you’ve got floor-to-ceiling windows framing the harbour bridge, who cares if the bathroom’s a bit snug?

What really got me was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighbourhood. When I asked about getting to Barangaroo for a work thing, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me to a taxi – he told me about the ferry from Circular Quay and mentioned that the 8:15 AM one is usually less packed than the 8:30. That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference. The whole place has this relaxed vibe that feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than a hotel, if that makes sense. Sure, the elevator’s a bit slow and you’ll probably wait a minute or two during busy times, but when you’re riding up to those views every day, it’s hard to complain. I’d definitely come back – especially if you can snag one of the corner rooms on the higher floors. Trust me on that one.
