Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Verona Drive – it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but there’s something genuinely nice about its unpretentious vibe. When I first pulled up, I actually drove past it twice because it sits quietly in this residential pocket of Wentworth Point, and honestly? That turned out to be one of its biggest selling points. You’re staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood than a tourist trap, which is refreshing when you’re trying to get a real feel for Sydney.
The thing about Wentworth Point is that most visitors have no idea how well-connected it actually is – I mean, you’ve got the ferry wharf literally at your doorstep, and that little boat ride across to Circular Quay beats sitting in traffic any day of the week. The hotel sits close enough to the water that you can hear the gentle lapping if you crack a window at night (though honestly, the area’s quiet enough that street noise isn’t really an issue). What I loved was walking down to the foreshore in the morning with my coffee – there’s this whole waterfront promenade that locals use for jogging and dog walking, and it gave me those authentic Sydney moments you can’t get from the touristy harbourside spots. The staff mentioned that peak times can get a bit hectic during summer weekends when the ferry gets crowded, but mid-week or shoulder season? You’ve got this whole peaceful waterfront practically to yourself.
The rooms themselves are comfortable without being fancy – think clean lines, decent beds, and everything you need without the unnecessary frills that jack up the price. I appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell what they are; it’s solid three-star territory that actually delivers on its promises rather than promising four-star luxury and falling short. The bathroom had good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Parking was easy, which – let’s be real – is kind of a miracle in Sydney these days. Check-in was smooth, and the woman at the front desk actually gave me useful local tips instead of just handing over a generic tourist brochure. She pointed me toward the good coffee spot on Burroway Road and warned me that the nearby restaurant gets packed on Sunday nights, which saved me from wandering around hungry later.
What really won me over was the location’s authenticity – you’re staying in an actual Sydney neighborhood where people live and work, not some sterile hotel district. The 7.8 rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it does what it does well. If you want to experience Sydney like someone who actually lives here, rather than just hitting the major tourist checkboxes, this spot gives you that opportunity without breaking the bank. Plus, when you do want to head into the city proper, that ferry connection makes it almost effortless.

Convenient comfortable stay – Julie-ann from Australia – 7 July 2025 (8/10)
Great location, great views, comfy bed
What could be improved: Wifi not working properly, couldn’t connect the tv. Host was responsive & provided trouble shooting suggestions however we didn’t wish to spend time trying to fix. Also power point in bathroom worked intermittently. “Breakfast provided” was 3 x oat bars, would recommend not advertising this as breakfast providedGreat location, view and facilities – Whight from Australia – 20 November 2023 (8/10)
The view was amazing and the apartment itself was nice
Facilities were fantastic and the location was great!
Check in instructions were easy to follow also
What could be improved: The mattress was awful and the towels didn’t absorb water wellAmazing views , apartment was nice and clean and had everything you needed – Karen from Australia – 7 November 2023 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment and incredible views
What could be improved: Couldn’t find the gymBeautiful Views but Value for money is questionable. – Naif from Qatar – 16 July 2024 (8/10)
The property is located in a quiet area with some construction nearby, but it offers an easy walk to the water and convenient access to shops. The host was prompt to response. The apartment was quite clean and up to date.
What could be improved: As indicated in the booking details, no breakfast was provided. Only three-bathroom rolls were provided for three guests for 4 night's stay. Always woken up by the construction happening in the vicinity. Apart from the location, value for money is not there.Beautiful apartment with no luxury or breakfast. – Sharon from Australia – 17 June 2024 (7/10)
The location and close proximity to shops and restaurants. The apartment was fairly clean and modern. The concierge was so helpful.
What could be improved: We had two thin towels, one hand towel and no bath mat.
There was half a roll of toilet paper and no milk, coffee or breakfast things (as it was advertised as breakfast included)
We contact the owners they apologised and told us they would drop the provisions off between 8.30-9. At 10.30 we received a message to pick up our bag of provisions.
We received 6 sachets of instant oats, some coffee and hot chocolate sachets, milk, 2 toilet rolls and four very out of date chocolates and three muesli bars.
It is not luxury and there is no proper breakfast.Views incredible, location peaceful, clean but needs to have more comfort items for people who stay. – Belinda from Australia – 26 February 2024 (7/10)
Property was in a quiet area, slight construction around but easy walk to the water and convient shops.
What could be improved: There was no breakfast as per description in the booking details – Asked the host and then received, uhf milk, two porridge packets and 2 mocha sachets (three guests stayed).
There was no linen for the spare bed and was only two towels supplied for three guests – Asked host, received linen and one extra towel.
Price for the two nights was almost $2000, needs to be a lot more detail and items available for guest if charging this price. It was quiet comfortable and amazing views – Tia from Australia – 9 February 2024 (8/10)
Beautiful view and comfortable
What could be improved: Only thing was that was someone else’s recent Uber eats leftovers and rubbish in the cupboard which smeltLuxurious accomodation, needs a bit more information, but has so much value and charm! – Kendraluc from Australia – 12 December 2023 (9/10)
The view from the window was beautiful, especially at night. The air conditioning was great for summer. The design of the apartment was beautiful and spacious, i loved the little touches like the flowers, the picture of the beach, the picture of the jellyfish, the bed was made, the toilet paper was folded in a triangle, the facilities and the adorable oven mitt with cats on it! I loved having a kitchen and laundry of my own and the shops were a really short walk away from the location. The people were nice and friendly and the woman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. The host was as well. There were plenty of options for bedding if it got cold and plenty of towels. The kitchen had so many facilities, a fridge with a freezer, convenient breakfast options as listed, I had a great time cooking for myself and there was a great choice of restaraunts in the area on Uber Eats as well when I wanted a break from cooking. The bathroom was so cool, there were toiletries provided for me and a hairdryer, plenty of storage and the walk in shower was great! The double bed was so comfy! The lounge was comfy and could convert into a bed. The side tables were lovely with the sensor lamps. The lighting was amazing in every room! The check in and check out process was really easy. It was such a chic and luxury, as said , place for me to stay!
What could be improved: I loved that there was a mirror in the bathroom but I wished there was a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment as I was going to a concert and wanted to feel presentable. Could still do my makeup though which was a plus. There were plates and cutlery, oven, stove, microwave, but I wish there were bowls as included as well. I still felt like I was fine dining at the decorative table, though When it came to cleaning, there was choice between washing up dishes in the sink or using the dishwasher and there were plenty of different sponges, washing up towel, tea towel, detergent, dishwasher tablets. Almost everything needed was in the laundry but I couldn't find washing laundry powder. Really tidy laundry though plus the ironing board, iron vacuum and mop. The tv was really fancy and was great for shows and movies! I couldn't get netflix to work but maybe I was supposed to use my own account. So many channels though! I was really excited to try the gym and the pool but there were no instructions/directions printed out on the table. There was plenty of room to exercise though and the shower was refreshing! For security, the door locked great when I was leaving the apartment and I knew my things would be safe then but I wasn't 100% clear on how to lock the door from the inside, the door was rattling a bit but that was probably because of the wind, maybe I should have contacted the host about that as I felt a bit uneasy but that might be because I was new to Wentworth Point. Although I knew my things were safe when I left the place, a security safe would have been a fantastic addition. But for the most part I really enjoyed my stay. The room was really quiet but I wish the soundproofing would have been a bit more thorough because I could hear machinery outside/I would have have wanted to put on loud music but that might've disturbed the people in the other apartments.Amazing location, looking forward to staying again soon – Samantha from Australia – 2 February 2025 (10/10)
View was amazing, comfortable and clean
We liked the location but the accommodation did not meet our expectations – Rosalind from New Zealand – 28 March 2024 (5/10)
Location
What could be improved: Communication with the host wasn't good – the lock box was not at accommodation so we had to walk with heavy bags in an area we didn't know. There were no instructions left at the apartment on how to connect to wifi or to use any of the appliances. I had to ring owner who had poor English so could not answer all my questions. There was no communication on how to check out until I asked (by emailing)
limited plates/glasses so had to do multiple dishwashes. only 3 towels that were not at all luxurious, very basic hand soap and shampoo that has been used. I would have thought for the price and the name of the accommodation it would have been better. Only one key which made it hard when we wanted to split up and get home at different times
Not enough pillow cases to make up sofa bed
Basically they over sold on description and was not worth the price we paid – I was expecting something luxurious/.
