Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney CBD places, but this spot on Watermans Quay actually gets it right. The moment you walk into this 1-bedroom, you’re hit with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the harbor like some kind of postcard – except it’s real, and you get to wake up to it every morning. I mean, you’re literally watching the ferries chug back and forth between Circular Quay and Manly while you’re having your coffee.

The apartment itself feels properly luxurious without being stuffy about it. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab some prawns from the Fish Market (honestly, it’s worth the trip), and there’s enough counter space to actually use it. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of things – you know how some CBD places have that constant hum of traffic? This doesn’t. The bedroom’s positioned away from the street noise, and the double glazing actually works. Plus, the building’s got decent security, which matters when you’re this close to the tourist crowds around Circular Quay.

Here’s what really sold me though – the location is killer without being touristy. You’re a five-minute walk to the Opera House (yeah, I know, everyone says that), but more importantly, you’re right near some genuinely good local spots. There’s this little laneway behind the building where the office workers grab their lunch, and the Rocks markets are close enough that you can pop over Saturday morning without making it a whole expedition. The ferry terminal is basically at your doorstep, so getting to places like Manly or Cremorne Point is dead easy – way better than dealing with buses or trying to find parking. Speaking of parking, there’s a spot included, which in Sydney CBD is basically like finding gold. Check-in was smooth, building manager actually knew what he was talking about, and the whole experience felt more like having a friend’s place to crash than staying in some anonymous hotel room. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like you’re living in Sydney rather than just visiting it, this is your spot.

  The location was perfect. The apartment is located close to many restaurants and cafes. It's right on the water and easy to walk everywhere to enjoy the beautiful harbour. Everything was spotless and well presented. Communication was easy and very responsive. Would definitely stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Cutlery, glassware and dinnerware could be of a better quality. One towel was dirty on arrival but this did not put us off at all.
