Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I pulled up to 17 Wentworth Place, I realized I’d actually stumbled onto something pretty special. I mean, finding a waterfront two-bedroom unit with dedicated parking in Sydney — that’s basically hitting the lottery, honestly. The whole setup sits right there overlooking the water, and you can actually hear the gentle lapping against the seawall when you open the windows in the morning.
The unit itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I really appreciated. The two bedrooms are generously sized — not those cramped spaces where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, and I found myself cooking breakfast most mornings just because I could walk out to the balcony with my coffee and watch the early morning joggers along the waterfront path. There’s something about that morning light hitting the water that just makes you want to slow down for a minute. The living area flows nicely into the kitchen, and honestly, it’s the kind of space where you could easily hang out for hours without feeling cooped up. What really sold me was the attention to details — proper blackout curtains (crucial for those Sydney summer sunrises), decent water pressure in the shower, and thank god, air conditioning that actually works.
The location is where this place really shines though. You’re literally two minutes from the water, but you’re also close enough to the main roads that getting into the city center isn’t a nightmare. I walked to the local café most mornings — there’s this little spot about three blocks away that does incredible flat whites, and the owner actually remembered my order by day three. The parking situation deserves a special mention because, well, it’s Sydney and parking is usually either impossible or ridiculously expensive. Having that guaranteed spot meant I could actually explore the area without stressing about where to leave the car. The neighborhood itself has this nice residential feel — quiet enough that you’ll sleep well, but not so remote that you feel disconnected from everything. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with family or friends since the two bedrooms give everyone some breathing room. The 8.5 rating feels about right — it’s not luxury resort level, but it’s exactly what you want from a well-run, thoughtfully set up place where you can actually relax and feel at home.

Exceptional – Brian from Australia – 10 July 2025 (10/10)
Accessibility to everything
What could be improved: Hard to get internet connection.Great space but in need of finishing touches – Samuel from United Kingdom – 21 June 2025 (7/10)
Very spacious apartment with a good kitchen and living space. About a 20 minute walk from the train station. Great for a couple of weeks stay.
What could be improved: The kitchen was a little understocked in terms of equipment and missing some things (only a couple of forks and plates, nothing oven proof). The property wasn't very tidy on arrival, with sheets hanging to dry and no clean towels.
