You know what struck me first about this place on Waterview Drive? It’s actually quiet – which honestly surprised me given how close you are to everything in Lane Cove. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the village shops and cafes, but the apartment sits back from the main road enough that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. The parking spot is right there too, which if you’ve ever tried to find street parking in this part of Sydney, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile – I’m talking about a real kitchen where you can actually cook (not just reheat things), and the bedrooms are genuinely separate spaces, not those weird open-plan situations where everyone’s on top of each other. The layout works well if you’re traveling with friends or family who need their own space. What I really appreciated was the little details – decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and enough power outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. The view from the living area looks out toward the water glimpses (hence the street name, I suppose), and while it’s not a full harbor panorama, it’s pleasant enough to sit with your morning coffee.

Lane Cove is one of those Sydney neighborhoods that feels like a secret – locals love it, but tourists often miss it completely. You’ve got the Lane Cove River right there for walks or kayaking, and the weekend markets are genuinely good for picking up fresh bread and local produce. The apartment puts you about a 15-minute bus ride to Chatswood (where you can catch trains anywhere), or if you’re driving, you’re well-positioned for getting to the city or heading north to the beaches. I’d say this works best for people who want to experience Sydney beyond the touristy bubble but still need easy access to everything. It’s not luxury – it’s a solid 3-star setup that delivers on the basics really well. The hosts were responsive when I had a question about the wifi, and check-in was straightforward. Honestly, for the price point and location, you’re getting good value, especially with that parking included.

    Good location, generous rooms and bathrooms, parking and access from parking was very convenient.

    What could be improved: Lack of Wifi was surprising.
    Despite instructions it was a little tricky to find the carpark, in particular it wasn't obvious how to get to level 2.

    For us location was very good – near to our house for our visitors

    What could be improved: Information/Communication about entry and keys etc was only received on the day of check in after I had rung several times. This causes concern when you have 4 friends arriving from the country.
    Had to call also to get more bowls and mugs as there were not 4 – this was solved with a phone call.

    The kitchen and bathrooms were clean.

    What could be improved: No extractor fans in bathrooms do major condensation on windows in the morning. Window frames and sills were not clean. Some major wear and tear on walls and doors.
