So I’ve stayed at The Podium 2B2B a handful of times now, and honestly? It’s become my go-to whenever I’m in Sydney Olympic Park. The name’s a bit clunky – I mean, who calls their place “2B2B” – but don’t let that throw you off. This place gets it right where it counts.

First thing you’ll notice is just how close you are to everything that matters here. When they say 50 meters to ACCOR, they’re not kidding around – you can literally see the hotel from your window, and if you’re heading to ANZ Stadium or Qudos Bank Arena for an event, you’re talking about a five-minute walk, tops. I’ve done the mad dash from concert to bed in under ten minutes, which is pretty sweet when you’re dealing with those massive Olympic Park crowds. The whole Paddock Street area is actually really quiet once the events wind down, so you’re not stuck with that post-game chaos all night long.

The apartments themselves are… well, they’re proper apartments, not those weird hotel-apartment hybrids that never quite work. Full kitchen that actually has everything you need (I’ve cooked actual meals here, not just reheated takeaway), decent-sized bedrooms, and – this is key – really solid soundproofing. You’d think being this close to all the action would mean constant noise, but honestly, I’ve slept through some pretty massive events happening just down the road. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand. Everything feels well-maintained without being sterile, you know? Like someone actually lives here and cares about the details.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that other accommodations in Olympic Park just don’t get right. Parking is straightforward – no circling the block for twenty minutes like you get near some of the bigger hotels. The check-in process is refreshingly normal, none of that overly formal hotel lobby nonsense. And here’s something I really appreciate: the location puts you right in the sweet spot where you can walk to events, but you’re also a quick train ride into the city if you want to explore beyond the park. The Olympic Park station is basically around the corner, and you’re in Central Sydney in about thirty minutes.

I’ll be honest, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay – the decor is more “comfortable modern” than “Instagram-worthy luxury.” But that’s sort of the point. You get a really solid base that works whether you’re here for a concert, visiting the aquatic center, or just need somewhere reliable to crash that’s not in the middle of the CBD madness. The value equation here is pretty unbeatable, especially when you factor in having a proper kitchen and the space to actually spread out a bit. It’s the kind of place that makes you think “why would I bother with a cramped hotel room?” once you’ve experienced it.

  Wonderful apartment fantastic location just across the road from Acorn Stadium. Was so convenient for us to go to the Easter show and to be able to have a break in the middle of the day by just walking back.
  Great facilities, comfortable beds, quiet, so clean and tidy. The boys loved being able to swim in the large pool.
