You know what struck me first about The Patio? It’s actually tucked away in a spot where you feel like you’re living in Sydney rather than just visiting it. I mean, the address might just say “2017 Sydney” but this place sits in one of those residential pockets where you’ll find yourself walking past corner cafes that locals have been hitting up for years – not the touristy spots plastered all over Instagram. The whole “live like a local” thing isn’t just marketing fluff here; they’ve genuinely nailed that feeling of settling into a Sydney neighborhood rather than being stuck in hotel-land.

The space itself is honestly impressive – and I’m someone who’s gotten pretty cynical about hotel room sizes after too many “spacious” places that barely fit a suitcase. These rooms actually deliver on the promise, with enough room to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris every time you want to grab something. The design feels like someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than generic hotel décor (you know the type – those beige nightmares with abstract art that means nothing). What really got me was the attention to little details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. Proper lighting for reading, actual closet space, and – this might sound small but it’s huge – enough power outlets where you actually need them.

The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy or trying to impress you with marble lobbies and doormen in top hats, but everything just… works. The staff genuinely knows the area – ask them about the best coffee run in the morning and they’ll point you toward the place three blocks down where the barista actually gives a damn, not the chain spot that’s closer. Check-in was smooth without being overly formal, and honestly, the whole vibe feels more like you’re borrowing a friend’s really nice place than staying in a hotel. The neighborhood gets properly quiet in the evenings (which is gold if you’re trying to actually sleep), but you’re still close enough to the action that a quick walk or short ride gets you wherever you need to be. I’d definitely come back – actually, I’m already thinking about it for my next Sydney trip, which says something since I usually like trying new places. Sometimes you just find a spot that gets it right.

  The property was very clean. Everything you needed was there. Great kitchen and laundry facilities. Lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent. Convenient getting to and from the airport.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing we had an issue is was the WiFi. It’s really not good and coming from the UK it was important for us to be able to have access to WiFi. Improving the WIFi would be a huge plus.

  Great location – wine and food around the corner, Woolworth's a 5 minute walk. 2 bus routes nearly at the door, train 10 minutes away. Excellent apartment. Also liked new Booking.com taxi service from airport.

  Die Ausstattung des Apartments ist super, alles da was man benötigt. Liebevoll eingerichtet, komfortabel. Auch die Kommunikation bzw. Anleitung des Besitzers ist detailliert. Sehr zu empfehlen
