It’s actually positioned perfectly – I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Darling Harbour, and honestly, that makes all the difference when you’re trying to show visitors around Sydney. The two-bedroom setup is surprisingly spacious for CBD standards, and I’ve stayed in enough cramped Sydney apartments to appreciate when developers actually give you room to breathe.

The location is where this place really shines though. Sussex Street itself can get a bit noisy during peak hours (those buses heading to the Harbour Bridge don’t mess around), but once you’re inside, it’s actually quite peaceful. What I love is that you’re close enough to the ICC that you can walk there for events without dealing with taxis or figuring out the light rail, but far enough that you’re not drowning in convention crowds every day. There’s this little coffee spot just around the corner that locals hit up – way better than the touristy places down by Circular Quay, and about half the price too. The building itself feels solid, well-maintained, which isn’t always a given in this part of town where some developments went up pretty quickly.

Honestly, the two-bedroom layout works really well for families or couples traveling together. The kitchen is actually functional – I mean, you can cook a proper meal if you want to, not just reheat takeaway. And speaking of takeaway, you’ve got some seriously good options within walking distance. Chinatown is right there, plus all those hidden gems in the laneways that you’d never find unless you were staying in the area for a few days. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare in this part of the CBD (it’s Sydney, what do you expect?), but if you’re planning to use public transport anyway, the train stations are super accessible. The whole setup just feels like staying in a real Sydney apartment rather than some sterile hotel room – which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to get a feel for how locals actually live in this city.
