I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Sunshine Pacific in Greenwich, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. The building’s got that understated Sydney charm, tucked away from the main Pacific Highway hustle, but once you step inside, it’s like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just cramming in as many rooms as possible.

The “spacious” part isn’t just marketing speak – these rooms genuinely breathe. I mean, you can actually walk around the bed without doing that awkward sideways shuffle you get in most city hotels. The boutique vibe feels authentic too, not like someone just threw some trendy art on beige walls and called it a day. What really got me was the attention to those little details that matter when you’re living out of a suitcase – proper bedside lighting for reading, enough outlets that actually work, and bathroom mirrors that don’t make you look like you’re in a funhouse. The staff seems to know the area well too, which is refreshing. When I asked about getting to the city, they didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map but actually explained the Gore Hill Freeway situation (avoid it during peak hours, trust me) and pointed me toward the train connections that locals use.

Greenwich itself is one of those Sydney pockets that feels residential but isn’t boring – you know what I mean? You’re close enough to Lane Cove National Park if you want to escape the concrete for a bit, and the harbor views from certain parts of the area are genuinely stunning without the Circular Quay crowds. The hotel sits in a sweet spot where you can grab decent coffee within walking distance (there’s this little place on Greenwich Road that does proper flat whites), but you’re not dealing with constant foot traffic outside your window. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Sydney will appreciate. The 8-out-of-10 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but it nails the fundamentals and then some. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to explore the North Shore properly instead of just doing the typical harbor tourist circuit.

  The property was spotless, spacious and had everything I needed for an 8 night stay. The free parking was a bonus which was much appreciated. Communication with the owner was amazing as I had several questions regarding my stay and she promptly responded. The outdoor space was lovely to have breakfast in the sunshine. Although it is on the Pacific Highway there was no noise issue. I recommend this space and it is just a short walk to the North Shore hospitals.

  位置算方便，距city不太远。但直接靠近高速公路，过马路非常困难。房子本身并不差，但这家公司的经营管理太差，所以没有其他满意之处了。
  
  What could be improved: 卫生条件极差，开门就是发霉的味道。整个屋子在入住前基本没做保洁，床品上和浴巾底下都藏着头发。最恶心的是马桶，盖子上几根毛，盖子后面一层毛，毫不夸张，从没见过也没说听过，竟然有这样触目惊心的场景。联系房东，从没有接听过电话。提供了一个紧急联系人和电话号码，但想找人的时候是联系不到的，可能几小时也可能一天后会通过booking信息回复。为解决问题，只好联系booking，电话已经打到英国了，半小时以上的沟通，不起任何作用。Booking的介入力度非常小，这也是今后再次选择booking的顾虑。
  经过反复在booking平台上沟通，入住一周之后，房东才派人来重新做整体保洁。改善很多，但发霉的味道一直在。评分中给的1分，也正是给这次做保洁的工作人员。其他再没有值得给分的地方。
  卫生间浴室门合不上，洗澡再怎么小心都是满地水，也是一周后才修理，稍好，但仍然合不拢，溅水。洗手盆龙头根本搬不动，锈渍加上污垢，渍住了。只能用厨房一个水龙头。浴室的高窗旋钮也是生锈的，不能大力转动，否则担心会掉下来。
  刚到悉尼还很冷，屋子里感觉长期没人住，更冷，又发霉。只有一个空调，在客厅靠近阳台的角落，根本不能覆盖到卧室和浴室。要求房东加一个暖气，十天之后送来。
  洗浴用品和卷纸只够两三天，须自行购买。浴巾床品也仅提供一套，没有替换，须自备。这固然不是酒店，不会及时补充必需品，但怎么能住三天跟住三周提供的量是一样的。
  总之，非常差，没有见过也没有听说过的入住体验。当初选择这家，因为看到评分高达十分，虽然评价数量少，当时以为是新入选的房源。实际上就是绝对的欺骗性。绝不会再选择这家公司的任何一个住宿产品。对booking平台的作用也感到失望。
