Look, I’ve stayed in my share of Bondi places, and this spot on Jaques Avenue actually surprised me. When I first saw the name “Stylish & Modern Beach Pad” I rolled my eyes a bit – you know how these vacation rental names can be – but honestly, they weren’t overselling it. The apartment sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the ocean but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the Campbell Parade chaos at all hours.

The balcony is what sold me, honestly. I mean, having a BBQ setup when you’re this close to the beach? Game changer. I grabbed some prawns from the Fish Market (just a quick walk down Campbell Parade) and had them grilling while watching the sunset bounce off the apartment buildings. The AC was clutch too – stayed here during a particularly brutal February heat wave and it kept the whole place comfortable. And you know what I really appreciated? The lift. Sounds silly, but when you’re hauling beach gear and groceries up to the ninth floor multiple times a day, that elevator becomes your best friend. The building itself feels solid, modern – none of that creaky old Bondi apartment vibe you sometimes get.

What really makes this place work is the location specifics that aren’t obvious from photos. Jaques Avenue is actually perfectly positioned – you’re literally two minutes from Bondi Beach but tucked away from the backpacker hostel noise that can make Campbell Parade pretty intense on weekend nights. I could walk to Speedo’s Cafe for morning coffee (their banana bread is ridiculous), hit Woolworths for supplies, and still be on the sand before 9am. The whole setup just flows well, especially if you’re planning to actually live like a local for a few days rather than just crash between beach sessions. The apartment itself has that clean, uncluttered feel that makes you want to keep the balcony doors open and let the sea breeze drift through. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.8 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for in Bondi without the tourist trap feel.

  Really enjoyed and appreciated the location, whilst it’s not on the beach we believe this to be a plus as you are not subject to the hustle and noise of the main drag, so close to everything yet so quiet, well appointed, great host, very detailed and clear instructions.
  
  What could be improved: Only from a personal stand point was the fact that we couldn’t view the TV from the bed, I wouldn’t let that prevent us from utilizing this unit again.

  What could be improved: Unlike hotels where you can leave luggage before check-in, we sat at the airport for 3 hours (after 20 hours flying) because we didn't want to lug our things around til 15:00 check-in (no fault of the property, just something to consider if your flight is arriving early and you are travelling w/ a suitcase).
  
  According to Booking.com, we were renting a "1 bedroom apartment" (check attachment as proof). In reality, it is a studio.
  
  A house directly across the street is under total renovation (during our stay). A lot of hammer banging/chatter.
  
  On day 2, I texted the property manager, asking where the garbage bins were located. I received what I considered a bit of a rude response: ("We shared how to access the garbage bin through your manual for a self-check-in….."). Was it necessary to mention that you already told me once?
  
  Departure morning, we received a message that we should clean up after ourselves, wash dishes and empty the trash cans before 10:00 Check-Out. My wife and I both thought that was also a bit rude, considering we were paying guests (paying more than $400AUD/night).
  
  After our check-out, we received one last message, a long one, educating us on how to leave a properly superior on-line review. LOL
