Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Bondi places over the years, and this top-floor apartment actually surprised me – in the best way possible. When you step off the lift (thank god there’s a lift, because hauling luggage up stairs in Sydney heat is nobody’s idea of fun), you’re hit with this airy, genuinely stylish space that doesn’t feel like someone just threw together rental furniture and called it a day. The two bedrooms are properly sized – I mean, you can actually walk around the bed without doing some weird sideways shuffle – and the whole place has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile or cold.
What really got me was the location situation. You’re close enough to Bondi Beach that you can hear the ocean if you open the windows on quiet mornings, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of Campbell Parade on weekends. I walked to the beach in maybe eight minutes, which honestly is perfect – close enough that you’ll actually go, but you’re not drowning in the tourist madness. The grocery situation is solid too; there’s a decent Woolies within walking distance, and if you know anything about Sydney accommodation, having proper kitchen access near the beach is kind of a big deal. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, well, $25 for eggs Benedict gets old fast.
The building itself feels secure and well-maintained – you know how some Sydney apartment blocks can be a bit… questionable? This isn’t one of those. The lift works consistently (I tested it extensively with beach gear), and honestly, being on the top level means you get actual natural light and some decent cross-ventilation. During my stay in shoulder season, I barely needed the air con during the day. The street’s pretty quiet at night too, which was a relief because I’d stayed in another Bondi place before where the party noise was relentless. Here, you might catch some distant sounds from the beach scene, but nothing that’ll keep you awake. I think the only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can be a bit of a hunt if you’re driving – it’s street parking in the area, and you know how that goes in beach suburbs. But honestly, if you’re staying this close to Bondi, you probably don’t need a car much anyway. The bus connections are decent, and walking to the beach, cafes, and that whole scene is part of the appeal. For a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it actually lives up to the hype, which doesn’t always happen.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
