Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney apartments, and this Camperdown spot honestly surprised me. When I first walked into this 2-bedroom place, I was expecting something pretty standard – but the styling actually feels thoughtful, you know? Not that generic IKEA-everywhere vibe you get in most short-term rentals. The balcony caught me off guard too – it’s not huge, but it’s got this nice leafy outlook that makes your morning coffee feel less rushed.

What really works here is the location, though I mean, you have to know Camperdown to appreciate it. You’re basically sandwiched between the university and RPA Hospital, which sounds chaotic but is actually pretty convenient. There’s this little strip of cafes on Parramatta Road that locals hit up – nothing fancy, just solid coffee and decent breakfast spots that don’t cost a fortune. The whole area has this lived-in feel that’s way more authentic than staying in some glossy CBD tower. Plus, you can walk to Sydney Uni in about ten minutes, or catch the bus into the city center without dealing with parking nightmares. I actually found street parking easier here than I expected, especially on weekends.

The apartment itself feels more spacious than the photos suggest – those high ceilings really help, and whoever furnished it had decent taste. The kitchen’s properly equipped (I mean, there’s actually sharp knives and a decent coffee maker), and the bedrooms are quiet despite being on a main-ish road. You’ll hear some traffic during the day, but it dies down at night. What I really appreciated were the little touches – good Wi-Fi that actually works, blackout curtains that block the morning sun, and enough power outlets that you’re not constantly unplugging stuff to charge your phone. The bathroom’s nothing special, but it’s clean and the water pressure’s solid. Honestly, for a 4-star rating, this place delivers on the practical stuff that matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The balcony becomes your favorite spot pretty quickly – it’s where you’ll end up eating takeaway from the Thai place down the street or just decompressing after walking around the city all day.
