Stylish 1BR Apartment with Skylight near Bondi Beach

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Bondi rentals, and this little gem on Gould Street actually surprised me. The skylight is the first thing you notice when you walk in – it floods the living area with this gorgeous natural light that honestly makes the whole space feel way bigger than it is. I mean, you’re dealing with a compact 1BR here, but that skylight? It’s a game-changer, especially in the morning when you’re having coffee and can see patches of blue sky above.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally a five-minute walk to Bondi Beach – not the touristy Campbell Parade strip where everyone’s fighting for overpriced acai bowls, but you can actually cut through the residential streets and pop out right near the southern end of the beach. It’s quieter down there, better for morning swims before the crowds hit. Plus, you’re close enough to hear the ocean at night (which I love), but far enough back that you don’t get the weekend party noise from the bars. The apartment itself is modern and clean – someone clearly put thought into the design. The kitchen’s small but functional, and honestly, the shower pressure is better than most Sydney hotels I’ve been in.

What you should know: parking can be a bit of a hunt on weekends, but during the week it’s fine. The building’s secure, and check-in was smooth – no weird key pickup drama like some other places. The 7.4 rating seems about right to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s stylish and practical. The neighborhood’s got that lived-in local vibe rather than pure tourist zone, which means you’ll find decent coffee shops and a proper grocery store within walking distance. I’d definitely come back, especially if I wanted to be near Bondi but not right in the chaos of it all.

  The location of the flat is perfect if you want to be in the heart of Bondi while also having access to a very frequent bus route into Circular Quay. The flat itself has ample storage and a lovely bathroom

  Location was perfect. Near Ravesis for live music, Hotel Bondi, coffee shops and cafes. Public transport and taxis close by on Campbell Pde. Great walk to Coogee. Washing machine and dryer just perfect.

  What could be improved: I regret to inform potential guests about the distressing conditions I encountered during my recent stay. From the outset, the presence of cockroaches was deeply unsettling, setting a tone for what was to be a series of unfortunate discoveries. The bedding was deplorable, marred by blood and food stains, which raises serious concerns about the hygiene standards maintained here.
  
  Equally concerning were the rusty toilet and the extensive mould found on the windows and walls, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. Sleep quality was severely compromised due to an uncomfortable mattress, diminishing the overall experience.
  
  A significant health hazard was the water heater jug, which was not only mouldy but also seemed to cause illness during our stay. This is unacceptable and poses a severe risk to guest health.
