The name isn’t just marketing fluff – they actually delivered on those “stunning views.” I mean, you’re right there on Clyde Street, which honestly puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the ocean but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the Campbell Parade chaos. The moment I walked in, I got why this spot has a 9.6 rating.

The thing about Bondi is that everyone thinks they know it from Instagram, but staying here made me realize how much the neighborhood changes throughout the day. Early morning, you’ve got the serious swimmers and runners doing their thing – there’s something almost meditative about watching that routine from your window with coffee in hand. By mid-morning, the energy shifts completely as the beach crowd rolls in, and honestly, having a front-row seat to that transformation without being stuck in the middle of it? That’s the real luxury here. The location is brilliant because you can walk to Bondi Beach in literally two minutes, but you can also escape to the quieter residential streets behind you when the tourist madness gets too much. I discovered this great little coffee spot on Blair Street that I never would have found if I’d stayed closer to the main strip.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail – and I’m not talking about fancy amenities or whatever. It’s the small stuff that shows someone actually thought about what travelers need. The windows open properly (you’d be surprised how many Sydney places don’t), so you can get that ocean breeze without cranking the AC. The shower pressure is fantastic, which matters when you’re sandy and salty multiple times a day. There’s actually enough counter space in the bathroom, and the wifi works everywhere, not just in one corner of the room. I stayed during a particularly busy weekend in summer, and while I could hear the street life below, it never felt intrusive – more like a gentle soundtrack that reminded you you’re in one of the world’s great beach neighborhoods. The check-in was smooth, parking was sorted without drama, and the whole experience felt effortless in a way that’s surprisingly rare. Look, Bondi can be overwhelming if you’re not prepared for it, but this spot gives you the perfect balance – you’re immersed in the energy when you want to be, but you’ve got a peaceful retreat to come back to. For a five-star place, it doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious, just genuinely comfortable and thoughtfully done.

  Michael and Gill’s lovely studio has everything you need for a comfortable short stay! We stayed for a week and had a fantastic experience. Michael is an excellent host, he made us feel at home right away, greeting us on arrival and even helping with our bags. The location is great too, close to some lovely cafés and just a 10-15 minute walk from Bondi Beach!

  I recently stayed at this lovely apartment in North Bondi , Michael and his wife were perfect hosts. It was so peaceful and quiet so wonderful for relaxing and sleeping. The bed was so comfortable, great pillows too, I would definitely book to stay here again.

  This was an amazing first two weeks of our year long Australian visit. We had the best time relaxing and enjoying Michael's fabulous space. It was well equipped and easily accessible. Michael was on hand for any help/questions we may have had and he truly was the best host we have come in contact with thus far. I will miss this little pocket of bliss just a short walk away from Bondi Beach. I would recommend getting up for sunrise one morning as this place is located so closely and then going to SHUK down the road for a morning coffee! Thank you for everything 🙂

  I liked that it was quiet and a 15 minute walk to the beach and promenade. As well as plenty of restaurants,, clothing, and grocery store.
  The bus was also a 5 minute walk, which will connect you to any bus you need from there.
  The 333 you can catch at Bondi Beach, it will take you all the way to Circular Quay, Opera House for a great day there. Australia is really beautiful. This location worked great for me. There were cooking supplies, pots, pans and a single burner. Also toaster oven. In case you want to cook.
