Hotel Description
You know what? When I first walked up to this place on Windmill Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name “STUNNING SYDNEY HOME 7” – it sounds a bit like someone got carried away with the caps lock, right? But stepping inside, I actually got why they went with the dramatic title. This isn’t your typical hotel setup; it’s more like staying in someone’s really well-appointed Sydney home, which makes sense given the location in Millers Point. The neighborhood itself is this fascinating mix of old sandstone buildings and modern touches – you’re literally walking on cobblestones that have been there since the 1800s, but there’s also that sleek feeling of being right in the heart of things.
The thing about Millers Point that most people don’t realize is how quiet it gets at night, despite being smack in the CBD. During the day, sure, you’ll hear the usual city sounds drifting over from Circular Quay (which is honestly just a pleasant walk away), but evenings have this almost village-like calm that’s pretty rare in Sydney. The house itself captures that perfectly – inside, everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than hotel-generic. I mean, the furniture actually looks like someone lives there, and the kitchen setup is way more functional than most places I’ve stayed. You can tell they’ve put real thought into what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.
What really sold me on this place was the little details that you only notice when you’re actually staying somewhere, not just passing through. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters after a day of walking around Sydney), and there’s actual counter space in the bathroom – revolutionary concept, I know. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, which is honestly refreshing. Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House without feeling like you’re in the thick of the tourist chaos. Walsh Bay is right there too, so if you’re into theater or just want some waterfront wandering, you’re sorted. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area – it’s all narrow streets and resident permits – but that’s just Millers Point for you, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The 8.2 rating feels about right to me; it’s solidly good without being perfect, and the 4-star designation makes sense when you factor in that homey feel over hotel polish. If you want somewhere that feels like you’re staying with a friend who has great taste and happens to live in one of Sydney’s most interesting pockets, this actually delivers on that promise.

Overall, a great experience with modern comforts in a well-situated apartment! – John from Australia – 8 June 2025 (9/10)
Great Stay.
The apartment is in a fantastic location—very convenient for exploring the area. While the building looks old from the outside, the interior has been beautifully renovated, making for an excellent stay.
The access system is high-tech, using a passcode entry. I found it easy to use, but for older guests, a video tutorial would be helpful to make the process smoother.
What could be improved: Accessibility Could Be Improved.
One important note: the only access is via stairs, meaning there is no option for guests with mobility impairments.Great place to stay if you want to experience Sydney on foot. – Rhonda from Australia – 28 April 2025 (7/10)
The proximity of this property was perfect for my trip to Sydney. Walking distance to circular quay, the opera house and Sydney Harbour bridge.
Everything was clean and plenty of room to spread out.
Comfortable bed too.
What could be improved: Proximity to local pub meant it was very noisy at night…thankfully they closed at 10.30pm.
Noisy neighbours in the early hours on the Friday night/morning (2-4.30am). Felt like they were in my bedroom smoking and partying.Great location – Philip from Australia – 12 February 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location for the Rocks, Barangaroo and Circular Quay
Embedded in old Sydney a short walk to Opera House , Barangaroo and Botanic Gardens – Candice from Australia – 25 February 2023 (9/10)
Historic, well maintained, perfect location
What could be improved: nilOverall, we had a fantastic time. Location and apartment was great. Hosts were very nice to deal with. Will definitely b – Anna from Australia – 13 June 2025 (9/10)
The location of the property was fabulous we were able to walk everywhere. Pubs, restaurants and transport all in 5-15 min walking distance. The apartment was well equipped with kitchen supplies making the stay very comfortable.
What could be improved: As stated by the owners the property doesn’t have any parking, there are 2-4 hour parking spots in the street and a Wilson parking garage 10 minute walk ($70 overnight). The apartment is heritage listed and has beautiful high ceilings and no heating system caused it to be quite cold during our winter stay. Additionally, just be wary when booking that there is no free cancellation of the booking.Great location, local pub two doors up was friendly, nice and spacious, easy to access. – Anita from Australia – 26 March 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Couch was a bit so soFully equipped apartment in Fantastic location – Renae from Australia – 14 August 2024 (8/10)
Location, accessibility, roomy, kitchen amazing. Absolutely wonderful would stay there again and recommend to all my friends. Helpful staff in constant contact via email and more available and helpful than when you have staff onsite.
What could be improved: It's pretty but more milk for tea and coffee please. Could only make 1 cup of tea for 2 people over the 4 days. Needed at least 4 times the amount if not double again. Dryer broken we reported it and they will fix for next person.Ideal Location – Kathryn from Australia – 16 January 2025 (10/10)
We relied on public transport and walked wherever we needed to go – very central to the Sydney CBD, the Rocks, Circular Quay & access to the Harbour Bridge walkway. Great little pubs and cafes in the neighbourhood all within an easy stroll. Swam at the netted enclosure at Barrangaroo which was at the end of the street. Would definitely stay here again.
