Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places along the Northern Beaches, but this penthouse at 24 North Steyne absolutely floored me – and I mean that in the best way possible. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with these floor-to-ceiling windows that basically frame Manly Beach like it’s a live painting. I’m not exaggerating when I say the view alone justifies the stay. You’re literally looking down at the Corso meeting the sand, watching the morning joggers and surf school groups set up while you’re still in your pajamas with coffee in hand.
What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the whole beachfront living thing without feeling like a sterile hotel room. The kitchen actually works – I mean, you can cook a proper meal here, not just reheat leftovers. The balcony (honestly, calling it a balcony feels wrong because it’s massive) becomes your personal observation deck for everything happening below. During my stay in March, I watched the sunset paint the water gold every single evening, and you know what? I never got tired of it. The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious for Manly standards – you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, which happens more often than you’d think in beachfront places around here.
Here’s the thing about the location that booking sites won’t tell you: yes, you’re right on North Steyne where it gets busy during summer weekends, but the penthouse level keeps you above most of the street noise. I was worried about the party crowds, especially Friday nights, but it’s actually pretty reasonable once you’re up there. Parking can be a bit of a dance – there’s a spot included, but maneuvering around the back streets during peak season requires some patience. The building itself is well-maintained, nothing fancy but solid, and the other residents I bumped into were friendly enough. What I really appreciated was being able to walk down to Manly Wharf in about three minutes, grab the ferry to Circular Quay, and feel like you’re escaping to the city but knowing you’re coming back to this incredible water view. The local cafés along the beachfront strip become your morning routine pretty quickly – there’s this little spot called Barefoot Coffee that does incredible flat whites, maybe a two-minute walk from the front door. After a few days, you start to feel like you’re living the actual Manly lifestyle instead of just visiting it, which is exactly what you want from a place like this.

The property is in a great location opposite the beach. A relaxed walk to The Corso (Manly shopping & restaurants) takes about 15 mins. The property has everything you need. We stayed 6 nights and had a great time. Great hosts, communication was exceptional and information in the apartment very thorough. Highly recommend this property.
