The minute I walked into this three-bedroom place on View Street, it actually felt like someone’s home – not that sterile serviced apartment vibe you usually get. I mean, the 9.2 rating had me curious, but honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like corporate housing. Boy, was I wrong.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Chatswood at all. View Street is this quiet residential pocket that’s maybe a seven-minute walk to the train station – close enough that you can hear the faint rumble of the express trains heading into the city, but far enough that it’s not going to wake you up at 6 AM. There’s something satisfying about being able to grab groceries at Westfield or hit up those amazing Korean BBQ places on the main strip, then retreat back to what feels like a proper neighborhood. The building itself sits nicely among actual houses, so you get that suburban calm without feeling cut off from everything. Parking was refreshingly straightforward too – no hunting around for spots or dealing with complicated garage systems.

What really works here is how they’ve set up the space. The three bedrooms aren’t just afterthoughts crammed in; they’re actually sized properly, and the main living area has this natural flow that makes it easy to spread out or hang out together, depending on your group’s vibe. The kitchen is properly equipped – I’m talking about the kind of setup where you can actually cook a decent meal, not just reheat takeout. The whole place has this lived-in quality that’s hard to fake; maybe it’s the way the furniture is arranged, or how the lighting works in the evenings, but it genuinely feels comfortable rather than staged. Check-in was refreshingly simple too – none of that lobby waiting around or key card drama. During my stay in late autumn, the place stayed pleasantly warm without being stuffy, and the neighborhood has this peaceful evening rhythm where families are out walking and the local cafes are winding down. If you’re traveling with a group or family and want something that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, this spot gets it right. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be fancy, just genuinely good at what it does.

  The house was so much more than we expected from the photos. We needed a place that was very close to our work in Chatswood and this was exceptional – literally a 10 minute walk and a 4 minute bike ride. The lovely hosts were very communicative and any small problem was sorted straight away. They allowed my husband to stay a little loger on check out day which was appreciated.
  
  What could be improved: There was a drain that was blocked on our first day but the hosts quickly solved the problem and followed up with us to make sure it was working.

  The shower in master living room is not working, other than that, all the outer facilities are good. The location is good, very close to the Chatswood train station, very convenient to go other places. The food and supermarket in Chatswood are also good.

  The house was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was good. Close to the station, so it was very easy to explore around Sydney.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, the house was very close to the Pacific highway, so the traffic noise was a bit annoying.
