Hotel Description
So I stayed at this one-bedroom place on Bond Street, and honestly? It’s one of those apartments that makes you forget you’re technically in a “hotel” situation. The building itself sits right in the thick of Sydney’s CBD – I mean, you’re literally walking distance from Circular Quay, which is gold if you’re planning to hit the Opera House or catch a ferry to Manly. The location is actually pretty clever because Bond Street is just off the main drag, so you get all the convenience without the constant stream of tourists walking past your window at 6 AM.
The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious for Sydney standards – and trust me, I’ve seen enough shoebox apartments in this city to know the difference. The bedroom actually fits a proper queen bed without you having to shimmy sideways to get around it, which is refreshing. What really sold me though was the gym situation. I was expecting some sad little room with a broken treadmill (you know how these things usually go), but they’ve actually got decent equipment. Nothing fancy, but the kind of setup where you can get a proper workout without feeling like you’re in someone’s garage. The best part? It’s rarely crowded – I think most guests don’t even realize it’s there.
The kitchen is where this place really shines, honestly. Full-sized fridge, actual counter space, and they’ve stocked it with everything you need if you want to avoid eating out for every meal. Which, let’s be real, you’ll want to do because Sydney restaurant prices can be brutal. I grabbed groceries from the Woolworths on York Street (maybe a three-minute walk) and actually enjoyed cooking breakfast while looking out at the city waking up. The whole setup just feels more… liveable than your typical hotel room. Sure, the building’s got that slightly sterile apartment complex vibe – the hallways are a bit echo-y and the elevator is nothing special – but once you’re inside, it’s genuinely comfortable. The Wi-Fi actually works properly, which shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow always is. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the place stays pretty quiet even though you’re in the heart of everything. The windows do a decent job blocking out the street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional siren or late-night reveler on weekends. Check-in was straightforward – they send you codes beforehand so there’s no awkward lobby waiting around. If you’re the type who likes exploring on foot, this spot is perfect. Wynyard Station is practically around the corner, the Harbour Bridge is a solid walk but totally doable, and you’ve got that whole Circular Quay area right there for when you want to feel like a proper tourist. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days without feeling like you’re camping out.

Very good – Wendy from Australia – 9 February 2025 (8/10)
Location was brilliant and communication with owner was easy. Sofa bed easy to operate and full supplies provided to make it up.
You’re not staying in Sydney to sit in your hotel room looking out the window so don’t let the lack of a view put you off- go out and enjoy everything that is at your doorstep.
What could be improved: One of the nights we were there there was construction/repairs happening right outside our window with a hammer drill. One of our party was feeling unwell and could not even have a sleep in. Not sure if the owners had been notified of these works, if so it wasn’t relayed to us and if not it was totally out of their control. We just copped a bad morning and I’m sure it’s not always like this.
The toilet only has a half flush which is inadequate for some uses.Good – Gavin from South Africa – 14 May 2025 (7/10)
Very central with easy access to all Sydney major attractions within fair walking distance.
What could be improved: The dining furniture is in very poor condition, and the vinyl is peeling off the chairs. There is a very popular nightclub directly below the apartment, and patrons carry on partying until 3a.m. most mornings. The outside of the building is also undergoing some maintenance, and the crew generally got started directly below our apartment at 07h30.Very good – Kirsten from Australia – 7 July 2025 (8/10)
Superb – Javier from Spain – 18 May 2025 (9/10)
