Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Sydney, and honestly, most of the ones in Parramatta feel like they’re trying too hard to be something they’re not. But SKYE Hotel Suites? This place actually gets it right. When you walk into the lobby on Hunter Street, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into the design – it’s sleek without being cold, modern without feeling sterile. The staff behind the desk actually seem to know the neighborhood, which is rarer than you’d think. I mean, when I asked about getting to Westfield without dealing with the Church Street chaos, the guy gave me this shortcut through the back streets that probably saved me twenty minutes.
The suites themselves are what sold me on coming back – and I’ve been here three times now, so that’s saying something. You know what’s refreshing? The kitchenette is actually functional, not just some sad mini-fridge situation. I was able to make proper coffee in the morning (they stock decent beans, not the usual hotel garbage) and even threw together a quick breakfast before heading out to meetings in the CBD. The beds are firm but not rock-hard, and here’s a detail that matters – the blackout curtains actually work. I’m a light sleeper, and between the early morning light and the occasional Friday night crowd spilling out of the bars on Church Street, good curtains make all the difference. The bathroom’s got this rainfall shower that’s got serious pressure, which honestly felt amazing after walking around Parramatta Park all afternoon.
What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re a two-minute walk from the train station – I timed it – but far enough from the main drag that you’re not hearing every conversation from people heading home after a night out. The Lebanese place around the corner (El Phoenician, I think?) delivers until late, and there’s a proper coffee shop called Blackbird that opens early if you’re not in the mood for room service. The hotel’s got this rooftop area that most people don’t seem to know about, probably because it’s not heavily advertised, but it’s perfect for a quiet drink while watching the sun set over the Sydney skyline. During the week it’s practically empty, though weekends can get a bit busier with locals who’ve figured out the secret. The 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not perfect (the gym is pretty basic, and parking costs extra), but it nails the important stuff. If you’re doing business in Western Sydney or just want somewhere comfortable that doesn’t feel like every other chain hotel, this is your spot.

Lovely layout with bathroom, study, lounge, kitchen and bedroom. The bed and couch were very comfortable. I loved the separate lounge area with Google Cast to watch shows from my phone on the TV, good WIFI. Good location near the Westfield Paramatta
What could be improved: The showerhead possibly needs to be replaced as it was leaking. Can’t wait to stay at Skye Suites again! – Maya from Australia – 25 June 2025 (10/10)

Great hotel – Nancy from Australia – 19 June 2025 (10/10)
Jacuzzi and pool working and perfect
What could be improved: Liked everythingApart from the initial check in incident, I didn’t see this staff again. My stay with the room and facilities was amazin – Poonam from Australia – 17 June 2025 (10/10)
I loved the heated pool. I loved how tastefully the room was decorated. I loved the kitchen and the facilities that were provided.
What could be improved: The only thing I could say was the check in staff who was a trainee staff. I arrived after 6 pm on Sat. And got a street parking at 4742. Sunday parking on this street would be free. However, he was pushing me to get the hotels car park which would have costed me 90 for the 2 nights. I listened to my instincts and let the car be on the hunter street parking 4742 car park. My Sunday parking was free. Sat was 5 dollars and Monday morning I moved it to Wilson parking and paid 16 flat rate until I checked out.Excellent stay and worth our money – Shiela from Australia – 13 June 2025 (10/10)
Convenient stay, refreshing smell, clean and organized room.
