Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Waine Street – it’s one of those renovated studio situations that actually works. I mean, when you first walk in, you’re thinking “okay, this is clearly a converted older building,” but honestly? They’ve done a pretty decent job with the renovation. The studio layout is smart enough that it doesn’t feel cramped, and there’s this little pool area that’s nothing fancy but perfect for a quick dip after you’ve been walking around the city all day.

The location is where this place really shines, though. You’re literally just off Oxford Street, which means you can stumble out the door and grab coffee at one of those little cafes, or you know what – if you’re feeling ambitious, Hyde Park is right there for morning runs. I actually love that you can walk to the CBD without dealing with trains, and Darlinghurst is basically your backyard with all those restaurants and bars. Parking can be a bit of a pain (welcome to Sydney), but honestly, you probably won’t need a car much from here. The neighborhood gets a little lively on weekend nights – I mean, it’s Oxford Street, so there’s definitely some street noise, but nothing that decent earplugs can’t handle.

What surprised me most was how well they’ve managed to pack everything you need into the space without it feeling like a storage unit. The kitchenette is functional enough for breakfast and simple meals, and the bathroom renovation feels fresh, not like they just slapped some paint over old tiles. The pool area is shared, obviously, but it’s got this nice little courtyard vibe – not glamorous, but honestly refreshing when Sydney’s doing that humid summer thing. Check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming the exact apartment number beforehand because the building numbering is a bit… well, let’s just say it’s not the most intuitive system. For a 3-star place with a 7.4 rating, you’re getting exactly what you’d expect – clean, comfortable, and positioned well enough that you can actually enjoy Sydney without spending half your time on transport. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, shower properly, and then get on with exploring the city.
