Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of beach apartments around Sydney, and this little gem on Galvin Street honestly surprised me. You know what I love about Maroubra? It’s got that lived-in coastal vibe without the touristy chaos of Bondi – and this one-bedroom place captures that perfectly. The moment you walk in, there’s this sense of… I don’t know, like someone actually thought about how people live, not just how to cram furniture into a space.

The bedroom’s got these lovely white linens that actually smell fresh (you’d be amazed how rare that is), and the living area flows nicely into a kitchen that’s properly equipped – I mean, there’s a real coffee machine, not just some sad instant stuff. What really got me though was stepping out and realizing you’re maybe four minutes from Maroubra Beach. Not the main drag where everyone congregates, but you can easily walk to those quieter spots near the rocks where locals actually hang out. The shops along Anzac Parade are right there too, including that fantastic Vietnamese bakery that does the best banh mi south of Cabramatta (seriously, grab one for breakfast).

Here’s the thing about this area – it’s residential, so mornings are genuinely peaceful. You’ll hear some bird chatter and maybe the distant sound of waves, but none of that late-night party noise that haunts other beachside spots. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which… well, anyone who’s driven around Sydney’s eastern suburbs knows that’s basically a miracle. The host left really clear instructions, and check-in was smooth – no awkward waiting around or hunting for hidden keys. I did notice the shower pressure could be better, and the Wi-Fi gets a bit patchy during evening hours when everyone’s streaming, but honestly? Those are minor things when you’re spending most of your time exploring or down at the beach anyway. The whole place just feels like somewhere you’d actually want to live, not just crash for a few nights, and in a city where so many accommodations feel sterile or trying too hard, that’s refreshing as hell.

  It's very clean and comfortable. We got one apartment for our own with kitchen and laundry. Also, very close to the beach. One day walk to the closest beach is pleasant and enjoyable. The residential area is very quiet too. The host is very informative and fast response. They keep you informed for the self-checkin/checkout and ensuring you have an enjoyable stay.
  
  What could be improved: The location is quite remote. The only public transportation available to reach this place is just bus and they come every 10-20 minutes. If you are traveling solo without private car, it might be difficult to reach the city center from this place. Coles is 15-20 minutes walk. So better buy everything you need before coming to this accomodation as it is quite far from the grocery.
