Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Sydney apartments over the years, and this place on High Street actually surprised me. You know what hits you first? The harbour view isn’t just some sliver between buildings – it’s properly spectacular. I mean, you’re right there in the CBD but you’ve got this expansive water view that makes you forget you’re in the middle of everything. The apartment itself feels more like someone’s actual home than a typical rental, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to settle in for more than a night or two.
The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re literally a three-minute walk to Circular Quay – and I’m talking an actual three minutes, not travel website three minutes. The ferry terminals are right there, so getting to Manly or anywhere else around the harbour is dead easy. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night despite being so central. High Street doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic that some of the other CBD streets do, so you actually get decent sleep. The building itself has that solid, older construction feel – thick walls that keep the city noise out.
Both bedrooms are genuinely spacious (not Sydney-spacious, actually spacious), and the kitchen is set up like someone who cooks actually lives there. Full-sized fridge, proper cookware, even decent knives – little things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for a week. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. Honestly, the only minor thing I’d mention is that the wifi can be a bit patchy in the back bedroom, but it’s solid everywhere else. Check-in was straightforward – they actually meet you at the apartment rather than making you hunt down some office. For the price and location, especially with that harbour view, it’s genuinely hard to beat. I’d definitely stay here again, which says something because I’m pretty picky about these things.

1.The location is excellent. In the downtown area of Miller Point, turn left at the door of the room and you will find a sea view observation deck. You can also see drone performances at night. When you go out, turn right and across the road is Observatory Hill. It is a pleasure to lie down on the mountain and watch the sunset and the Harbor Bridge. There is a fenced sea area at Miller Point, where many foreigners dive and swim to see the bridge.
2. The room type is good, with the characteristics of an old bungalow. It has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate four people. There are also fireplaces and murals in the master bedroom and living room, the kitchen is spacious, and there is an outdoor patio, about 120 square meters.
3. It is fully equipped with all the seasonings and kitchen utensils you want, a large refrigerator, and LG's latest washing machine and dryer.

The property was very clean and in a perfect location- 10 min walk from the harbour. The hosts Sam and Jackie communicated well with us. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was well stocked.

The apartment was surprisingly well renovated and visually aesthetic.
The location was incredible, making it easy to access anything in the city. Its proximity to the docks also allowed us to access anything across the waters by ferry.
What could be improved: As others have written, external lights that are always on do mean that the property is not pitch-black at night, but thankfully we were able to sleep through it.

The location of the property was perfect. Easy to get around.

What could be improved: The only qualm I have was the parking situation. Website said parking available but it was only on street parking.
There was a parking station but far up the road so all turned out in the end.
