The name is a mouthful – “Parramatta New 2Bedroom apt close to TrainShoping” – which sounds like someone was really trying to hit all the SEO keywords, but you know what, they weren’t lying about the location.

The apartment itself is actually quite solid for what you’re paying. It’s got that clean, modern feel without being sterile, and the two bedrooms are properly sized – I mean, you can actually fit your suitcase beside the bed without doing some weird sideways shuffle every time you want to get dressed. The kitchen’s well-equipped too, which is great because let’s be honest, hotel breakfast gets old fast and there’s a decent Woolworths just a few blocks down on Church Street if you want to grab some groceries. What really sold me though was how quiet it is at night. You’d think being this close to the train line would mean constant noise, but the windows are surprisingly good at keeping the sound out. I slept through the night without any issues, even on weekends when the bars on Eat Street were getting busy.

The real winner here is the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way that every hotel claims. You’re literally a five-minute walk to Parramatta station, which means you can be in the Sydney CBD in about 25 minutes. But here’s the thing most visitors don’t realize: you’re also walking distance to Westfield Parramatta, which is actually massive and has pretty much everything you need. Plus, if you’re into the whole cultural scene, the Riverside Theatres are just across the river, and Parramatta Park is perfect for morning runs – much better than trying to jog through Sydney’s crowded streets. The check-in was straightforward, no drama with keys or codes, and there’s decent parking nearby which is honestly a miracle in this part of Sydney. The 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I had meetings in the western suburbs or just wanted to experience Sydney from a different angle without paying CBD prices.
