Hotel Description
You know what really struck me about the Parramatta Hotel Apartment? It’s one of those places where you can actually feel like you’re living in Sydney rather than just passing through. I mean, Valentine Avenue isn’t exactly the postcard-perfect harbor view most tourists expect, but honestly – that’s what makes this spot so genuine. You’re right in the heart of Parramatta, which locals will tell you is basically Sydney’s second CBD, and everything you need is within walking distance without the tourist markup.
The apartment-style setup is where this place really shines. I’ve stayed in plenty of cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase, but here you’ve got actual space to breathe. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – there’s a proper-sized fridge and decent cookware, which came in handy when I grabbed fresh stuff from the Parramatta Farmers Market (it’s just a quick walk down George Street on Fridays). The living area actually feels lived-in rather than sterile, with comfortable furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog. And the bedroom? Well, let’s just say the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you’ve been sleeping on a marshmallow – something I definitely appreciate after walking around Sydney all day.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area. When I asked about getting to the Blue Mountains, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a brochure – he told me exactly which train to catch from Parramatta station (literally a five-minute walk) and mentioned that weekday mornings are way less crowded than weekends. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that forced cheerfulness you get at chain hotels. Parking can be a bit tricky during business hours since you’re surrounded by office buildings, but evenings and weekends it’s no problem at all. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 6 PM, which I actually loved – you can open the windows without dealing with constant traffic noise. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators are a bit slow, but honestly, that’s me being picky. For the price point and that 9.2 rating, it’s clear why people keep coming back here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just a solid, comfortable place to stay while you explore a city that has way more personality than most visitors realize.

Excellent value and comfort. – Oldenglish from Australia – 3 June 2025 (10/10)
The property is only exceeded by the Host! Mao is most helpful. He met us downstairs and gave us our keys. He even made arrangements for us to leave our bags in the unit while we went shopping.
The unit is most comfortable and in an excellent location. TV in lounge and also bedroom. Easy walk to ferry for trip to Circular Quay, and even easier back by train! Westfield shopping nearby with plenty of places to eat. A glass of wine on the verandah to look at the world going by. Even see Centrepoint tower in the city!
Even though is near trains etc, the unit was very quiet ad comfortable.
What could be improved: One complaint though. Wish we had stayed longer! No issue.. everyone at hotel and getting the key were nice and updated me on how to leave key when d – Bogdan from Australia – 10 March 2025 (9/10)

The location was great, close to the train station and Westmead shopping centre. Had an amazing view. We arrived later than expected due to delays and as we were unsure where to go the host Mao met us at the train station and took us back to the apartment. Excellent location to get to Accor Stadium.
I will stay again – David from Australia – 15 December 2024 (10/10)
