Park Regis Concierge Apartments
You know what caught me off guard about Park Regis Concierge Apartments? The lobby actually feels like someone’s upscale apartment building rather than a typical hotel – which makes sense, I guess, given the name. It’s tucked away on Military Road in Cremorne, and honestly, this spot is one of those hidden gems that locals love because it’s close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos. You’re literally a five-minute walk to the Cremorne Point ferry wharf, which is honestly the best way to get into Circular Quay without dealing with Sydney traffic. The ferry ride itself is half the experience – you get those postcard views of the harbor that never get old.
The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, especially by Sydney standards. I mean, you’re getting actual kitchens with full-size fridges and decent counter space, not those tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely fit a coffee maker. The living areas feel lived-in rather than sterile, with comfortable couches you’d actually want to sink into after a long day exploring the city. Most units have balconies – and if you’re lucky enough to snag one facing north, you’ll catch glimpses of the harbor through the trees. The bedrooms are well-appointed with blackout curtains (thank god, because Sydney summer sun is no joke), and the bathrooms are modern without being flashy. One thing I really appreciated was the laundry setup – having a washer and dryer in your unit is a game-changer for longer stays.
What really sells this place is the neighborhood vibe. Cremorne is one of those areas where you can grab coffee at a local café without bumping into crowds of tourists, and Military Road has some genuinely good restaurants that aren’t trying to be Instagram-famous. The Oaks Hotel is just down the street if you want a proper pub meal, and there’s a decent bottle shop nearby. Parking can be a bit tricky on weekends – the street parking fills up when locals head to the nearby parks and ferry – but the hotel has some spots available. The staff at Park Regis are pretty switched on too; they’re not overly chatty but they know their stuff about getting around the area. The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s solid, comfortable, and well-located without being flashy or trying too hard. If you’re looking for something that feels more like a temporary home base than a hotel room, especially for a week or longer, this place delivers on that promise.
