Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked this place on Paddock Street – I mean, Sydney Olympic Park isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, right? But you know what, this two-bedroom condo turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something locals have been keeping to themselves.

The building itself is pretty modern, and parking spot 17 (yeah, they actually include the parking spot number in the name, which is… practical, I guess) is right there waiting for you – no circling around hunting for street parking like you’d deal with in the CBD. The moment you walk into the actual unit, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this feel like home rather than just another sterile rental. The kitchen’s got everything you’d actually need if you’re planning to cook – decent knives, proper pans, not just the bare minimum stuff that makes you want to order takeout every night. There’s this lovely view from the living room that looks out over the park area, and honestly, it’s surprisingly peaceful for being so close to major sporting venues.

What really sold me on this place was how it works as a base for exploring Sydney differently. Sure, you’re about 20 minutes by train to Circular Quay, but here’s the thing – you’ve got Bicentennial Park literally at your doorstep, which is gorgeous for morning runs or just wandering around when you need a break from city chaos. The gym in the building is actually decent (not just two broken treadmills like some places), and the pool area gets beautiful afternoon sun. I spent way more time there than I expected, reading and just… existing without the constant noise of traffic. The whole Olympic Park area has this interesting mix of massive sports facilities and quiet residential streets – it’s like staying in a completely different version of Sydney that most people never see. Getting to places like Parramatta or even the airport is actually pretty straightforward from here, and there’s a surprisingly good café scene emerging around the train station. The apartment itself sleeps four comfortably, though the second bedroom is a bit smaller – perfect for kids or that friend who doesn’t mind a cozier space. One tiny thing that bugged me: the bathroom fan is a bit loud, but honestly, that’s me being picky about a place that’s otherwise really well-maintained. For the price point and that 9.4 rating, it makes total sense – you’re getting genuine value without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

  We couldn't have wished for better accommodation. The apartment was gorgeous. It was really nicely furnished, very clean and well appointed. It was so comfortable and really made our trip very easy between how conveniently it was located and how nice it was to relax and wind down there. The hosts were exceptional with their communication and the ease of accessing the property. They provided very clear instructions which was extremely helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  Close proximity to both Qudos Bank Arena, Accor Stadium, restaurants and Woolies/BWS. Great spot and view! Place was so clean and beds were very comfortable.
