Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of corporate apartments around Sydney, and North Napier actually surprised me in a good way. When you first walk up to 26 Napier Street, it doesn’t scream “luxury” or anything – it’s this solid brick building that honestly looks like it could house accountants during the day. But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? You’re getting proper apartment living without the hotel fuss, and the North Sydney location is honestly pretty clever if you know the area.

Here’s what I mean – you’re literally a five-minute walk to North Sydney station, which sounds boring until you realize that puts you one stop from the CBD. I’d wake up, grab coffee from that little place on Miller Street (you know, the one with the temperamental barista who makes incredible flat whites), and be at Circular Quay in twelve minutes. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re corporate apartments, so don’t expect boutique charm. But the kitchens are actually functional – like, you can cook a proper meal, not just reheat takeaway. The living areas have that slightly sterile but comfortable feel, with decent-sized windows that let in good light. Some units face the street, which can get a bit noisy during morning rush hour, but honestly it’s not terrible.

What really works about this place is the practical stuff nobody talks about. Check-in was straightforward – no hovering concierge, just keys and clear instructions. There’s decent parking if you’re driving, which is gold in North Sydney. The building’s quiet after business hours, and you get that neighborhood feel once you venture past the corporate towers. Walk ten minutes toward the harbor and you hit Kirribilli – suddenly you’re in this leafy residential area with actual character. The Luna Park lights twinkle across the water at night, and there’s this lovely walk along the foreshore that most tourists never find. I mean, you’re basically staying in a local neighborhood that happens to have excellent transport links. The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. Perfect if you want to live like a Sydney local for a week rather than feel like a tourist trapped in a hotel bubble.

    Loved it all except the lounge

    What could be improved: Literally the only thing was the lounge and in our room wasn’t great, the cushions you sit on were falling down into the lounge and was quite uncomfortable. Other than that it was incredible!

    Truly excellent location in Crow's Nest, right across from the metro station.

    What could be improved: The apartment was really spacious and well-appointed. Unfortunately our first floor apartment was directly above the 24-hour gym so on some mornings (not every morning) we could hear people using the treadmill at 5am. Apart from that it was a great stay in a fantastic city location. We would definitely stay there again but on the second or third floor!

    The apartment is nice, cozy and has everything that we need for a short stay.

    The location is excellent. Everything is within a very short walking distance within Crows Nest including supermarkets, cafe, restaurants, banks, and pharmacies. The train station is at the other side of the road which can take you to Sydney downtown within minutes.

    Super convenient location and nice to have a washing machine and kitchenette. We were very comfortable. It was extra nice to have a parking spot, too.

    What could be improved: No coffee machine, despite pods available. We also didn't have enough towels, but this wasn't anything we couldn't work out. A few broken shutters and blinds, and a bit tricky to access at first, but overall it was a nice stay.

    clean and tidy, well set up, close to facilities and close to Mater hospital.

    What could be improved: Neighbours playing loud music till all hours of the morning. The sliding door runner, between bedroom and kitchen, sits proud of the floor and hurts when you tread on it in bare feet/and or trip over it. Toaster tripped off power to power points in kitchen.
