Hotel Description

You know what hits you first when you walk into this Enmore penthouse? The light. I mean, seriously – those floor-to-ceiling windows just flood the whole place with this gorgeous Sydney sunshine that makes you want to immediately drop your bags and just… breathe. It’s one of those modern setups where the living area flows seamlessly into the kitchen, and honestly, the space feels way bigger than you’d expect from the street view.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Enmore at all. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Enmore Theatre – which is perfect if you’re into live music or comedy shows – and King Street’s right there with all those eclectic cafes and vintage shops that make this neighborhood feel so authentic. I love that it’s not touristy-crowded like Bondi, but you’re still only about 15 minutes from the CBD if you need to head into the city. The 428 bus runs right down King Street, though honestly, most stuff you’ll want is walkable. There’s this fantastic little Vietnamese place called Pho Pasteur just around the corner that locals swear by, and the weekend markets at Carriageworks are close enough that you can actually carry your finds home without needing an Uber.

What really sets this place apart though – and I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney apartments – is how thoughtfully it’s set up. The three bedrooms actually feel like proper bedrooms, not afterthoughts carved out of a bigger space. The master has this amazing view over the inner west rooftops, and you can see the city skyline in the distance. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just the usual sad collection of mismatched plates and a broken can opener. I mean, there’s a decent coffee machine and everything you’d need to cook a real meal, which matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The building itself is well-maintained – secure entry, decent lift, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re on a fairly busy street. Sometimes you’ll hear the occasional late-night reveler heading home from King Street, but it’s not disruptive, more like gentle urban white noise. Parking can be a bit tricky during the day (it’s mostly street parking around there), but evenings and weekends are usually fine. The hosts were genuinely helpful with local recommendations too, not just the usual generic tourist stuff. They actually know the area and can point you toward the good coffee spots and which nights the local pubs have live music. With a 9.6 rating, you’d expect it to be solid, but this place actually exceeds those expectations – it feels like staying in a friend’s really nice apartment rather than a rental property.

    Luxury apartment, spotlessly clean. Great location and fitted out with everything you need for a stay. Would definitely stay again. Safe and secure parking. You do hear the planes due to the flight path but that didn't bother us at all.

    Beautiful apartment, very well appointed. Clean and tidy, the kitchen was very well stocked with condiments and extras. The host was great to communicate with and very helpful.

    What could be improved: Directly under the flight path to Sydney airport. Very noisy, no chance of sleeping past 6am due to the influx of planes coming across approx every 2-3 minutes. Flights stop at approximately 11pm each night.
