The house itself feels like staying at a friend’s place – if your friend happens to have excellent taste and actually cares about air conditioning. And trust me, during Sydney’s summer months, that AC isn’t just a nice touch, it’s a lifesaver. The parking situation alone makes this place worth booking; anyone who’s driven around Sydney knows that finding a spot is usually a nightmare, but here you’ve got your own space sorted. The whole setup is clean and modern without being sterile – there’s character in the details, like the way the light hits the living area in the afternoon. I found myself actually wanting to hang out there instead of just crashing between sightseeing marathons.

What really got me was how connected you feel to the city from this little pocket. Erskineville Station is a quick walk away, so you can be in the CBD in about ten minutes, or hop over to Newtown (which is practically next door) for dinner and drinks. But honestly? Some of my best meals were right in the neighborhood. There’s this Vietnamese place on Erskineville Road that locals queue for, and the pub on the corner has that perfect after-work buzz where you can actually hear yourself think.
