Luxury Bondi Beachside Apartment – Pacific
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into this place on Campbell Parade, I wasn’t expecting much from another “luxury apartment” listing. But stepping into unit 112 at the Pacific building actually made me do one of those little whistles under my breath. The floor-to-ceiling windows hit you immediately, and you’re staring straight out at Bondi Beach like you’re watching a live screensaver. I mean, you can literally see the surfers catching waves while you’re making your morning coffee.
The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, which honestly works in its favor. There’s this comfortable couch that’s clearly been chosen by someone who actually sits on furniture instead of just looking at it, and the kitchen – well, it’s got everything you’d need if you’re the type who gets sick of eating out every meal (the Woolies down on Hall Street is perfect for stocking up, by the way). What really got me was the little balcony space where you can sit with a wine and watch the chaos of Campbell Parade below. During the day it’s all joggers and beach-goers, but come evening it transforms into this lovely people-watching theater.
The location thing is kind of perfect without being too perfect, you know? You’re right there in the thick of Bondi’s energy – literally a two-minute walk to the sand – but the building sits back just enough that you’re not dealing with drunk backpackers stumbling around at 2 AM. The Icebergs pool is practically next door if you want to do laps without the salt water, and honestly, having both the beach and the coastal walk to Coogee starting right outside your door means you’ll never run out of things to do. Parking can be a bit of a dance on weekends (street parking fills up fast), but there’s a spot that comes with the apartment which saves you from that particular Sydney headache. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where all the small details just work together. The shower pressure is actually decent, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and the wifi doesn’t drop out every five minutes like some places I’ve stayed. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but sometimes you just want a place that feels like a proper home base rather than a showroom.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
