Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxurious Bondi Beach Apt” I was a bit skeptical because, well, half the places in Bondi throw around that word pretty loosely. But this place actually delivers on the balcony views part, and honestly, that’s what you’re really paying for here. The moment you step out onto that balcony, you get why people obsess over this stretch of coastline. You’re looking straight out at the Pacific, and depending on which way the apartment faces, you’ll catch either the early morning surfers paddling out or those incredible sunset colors that hit the water just right.

The apartment itself is what I’d call comfortably appointed rather than truly luxurious – think IKEA meets beachside living, which actually works pretty well. The furniture’s modern enough, everything’s clean, and there’s this lived-in feel that makes you want to kick off your sandy flip-flops and settle in. What I really appreciated was the little things they got right: decent water pressure in the shower (crucial after a day at the beach), a proper coffee machine, and – this might sound weird – but the balcony furniture is actually comfortable enough to spend your morning reading out there. The kitchen’s functional if you want to grab groceries from the Woolworths on Curlewis Street, though honestly, with all the cafes around here, I mostly just used it for storing wine and making morning coffee.

Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk to the beach in about three minutes, but you’re not right on Campbell Parade dealing with the weekend crowds and noise. The walk to the main strip takes maybe five minutes, which means you can easily hit up places like Speedos Cafe for breakfast or grab dinner at one of the spots along Hall Street without feeling like you need to plan your whole day around it. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare during peak season – I mean, it’s Bondi, so that’s expected – but there’s usually street parking if you’re patient and don’t mind walking a block or two. The 3-star rating seems about right; it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but it does what it promises well. That 8.2 rating makes sense too – most people seem to love the views and location, though I imagine some might find the apartment a bit basic for the price. But you know what? When you’re waking up to that ocean view and you can hear the waves from your bed, those details matter a lot less than you’d think.

good location, comfortable flat, Air conditioning working well, clean and lighty.

What could be improved: one towel only for each guest is not enough. Dryer not working. No complimentary coffee nor water and no washing liquids for dishes or clothes. No frying pans.

  • Great location, needs some maintenance – Laura from Australia – 26 September 2022 (7/10)

Modern apartment in a fantastic location. Easy check in and out procedures and lots of info provided by the team.

What could be improved: There were no cushions on the couch, and having now read other reviews it does seem like this hasn’t been addressed for a while. The bathroom floors and all of the windows were really dirty.

  • our stay at modern Bondi beach escape was ok and served it’s purpose for a couple of nights basic accommodation – Joanna from United Kingdom – 19 December 2022 (5/10)

communication for check in was good and the location was pretty good with just a short walk to Bondi centre.

What could be improved: it wasn’t very clean. I would also say the pre stay checks were excessive compared to other stays in very similar if not better accommodation.
