You know what caught me off guard about Luxe Living Terrace? The name sounds a bit corporate, but honestly, this place feels more like staying at a really well-designed friend’s apartment than a typical hotel. I mean, you’re right on Union Street in Pyrmont, which — if you don’t know Sydney well — is this fantastic spot where you can literally walk to Darling Harbour in about three minutes, but it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door.

The building itself has this modern terrace setup that actually lives up to the name. I spent way too much time on mine with my morning coffee, watching the harbor activity without all the chaos you’d get staying closer to Circular Quay. The rooms have this lived-in luxury vibe — everything’s high-quality but not stuffy. The kitchen facilities are actually usable (you’d be surprised how many “luxury” places give you a mini-fridge and call it a day), and the bedding is the kind where you sink in and immediately think “okay, I could get used to this.” What really impressed me was the attention to little things… proper blackout curtains, enough power outlets near the bed, and — this might sound weird — but the shower pressure is fantastic, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me.

The area’s got this interesting mix going on. You’ve got the Star Casino literally next door if that’s your thing, but you’re also walking distance to some of Pyrmont’s quieter spots along the harbor. I found myself taking evening walks toward the Pyrmont Bridge just because it’s so accessible. The local cafes along Union Street are solid — there’s this little place called Campos that does excellent coffee if you want to venture out, though room service was surprisingly good too. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood, but the hotel staff actually helped sort that out during check-in, which saved me from driving around in circles. The 9.9 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after staying there, I get it. It’s not just about fancy amenities — though they’ve got those covered — it’s more about how everything just… works. The staff knows the area well enough to give you actual recommendations instead of just pointing you toward tourist traps, and the whole place has this calm, residential feel despite being so close to everything you’d want to see in Sydney.

  Great Location !!! close to supermarket ,restaurants ,and light rail The Star Station. The house is huge 4 bedrooms ensuite bathroom and also have 2 sofa bed in the living room, they even have 2 powder room in it which is perfect for a large group like us.
