The moment you walk into this two-bedroom setup, there’s actually some thought behind it – the smart TV is properly mounted (not perched on some wobbly stand), and the kitchen has those little touches that make you think someone who actually cooks designed it.
The real win here is the location, though I mean that in a very specific way. Ramsgate Avenue puts you close enough to the beach that you can hear the waves if you crack a window at night, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of Campbell Parade on weekend mornings. I’m talking about a genuine three-minute walk to the sand – I timed it because, well, that’s what you do when you’re trying to figure out if “steps from the beach” actually means something. The walk takes you right past that little corner shop where locals grab their morning coffee, and honestly, their flat whites are better than half the touristy spots closer to the beach.
What really sold me on this place was how it handles the practical stuff that most descriptions gloss over. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet even during peak summer season – the bedrooms face away from the street, and there’s decent insulation from the neighbors. Parking was actually manageable, which if you know Bondi in December, you’ll understand is basically a small miracle. The whole building feels well-maintained without being sterile, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “meet us at a random café to get your keys” nonsense. The smart TV setup is legit too, properly connected to decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building starts streaming. I spent a rainy afternoon there catching up on shows, and it felt like being at home rather than camping out in someone else’s space. The rating sits at an 8, which feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does everything it promises without any unpleasant surprises.
