It’s tucked right there at 398 Pacific Highway, which means you’re literally minutes from the train station (seriously, like a three-minute walk), and the harbor views from the upper floors are genuinely stunning – not just marketing fluff.

The thing that struck me most was how they’ve nailed the details that business travelers actually care about. The WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, the shower pressure is decent (I mean, really decent), and the beds are firm without feeling like you’re sleeping on concrete. I stayed on the seventh floor and could hear the occasional traffic hum from the highway, but honestly, it’s white noise rather than disruptive – much better than I expected for a spot right on Pacific Highway. The staff at check-in knew their stuff too, gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots in nearby Crows Nest without me even asking. There’s this little Vietnamese place about a ten-minute walk away that they suggested – absolutely worth it.

What really won me over was how the place feels once you’re inside. The lobby has this warm, lived-in vibe despite being obviously new, and the rooms strike that perfect balance between functional and comfortable. The minibar isn’t highway robbery prices (rare these days), and they’ve got proper blackout curtains – crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag. You’re also perfectly positioned to hit the city via train or even walk down to the harbor if you’ve got time to kill. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because, well, why deal with the hassle of moving when you’ve found a place that just works? The 8.2 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Sydney, but it nails the fundamentals while throwing in enough nice touches to make you feel like you’re not just crashing at a budget chain. For the location and what you get, it’s solid value.

The space itself was modern, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, making me feel right at home. Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was seamless.
