Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place in Ryde – it’s exactly what you’d expect from a converted apartment that’s doing double duty as accommodation, and honestly, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was how lived-in it felt (in a good way), like someone’s actual home that just happens to have really fast wifi and a sofa bed for when your mate crashes over. The king bed is solid – none of that cheap mattress nonsense you sometimes get – and the apartment itself sits in one of those quiet residential streets where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of constant traffic.

What really works here is the location, though most people don’t realize how well-connected Ryde actually is. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the train station, which means you can be in the city in under half an hour, but you’re also close enough to grab decent coffee at that little strip of cafes near the library – you know, the ones that locals actually use, not the tourist traps. The wifi speed is genuinely impressive, which I discovered during a particularly long work call that didn’t drop once. The sofa bed is… well, it’s a sofa bed, so set expectations accordingly, but it’s perfectly fine for a night or two if you’re not too precious about sleeping arrangements. I mean, I’ve definitely stayed in worse places that charged twice as much.

The area gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is either perfect or boring depending on what you’re after. There’s a Woolworths about five minutes away if you need supplies, and honestly, having a proper kitchen makes a huge difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The shower pressure is better than expected – always a gamble with apartments like this – and the whole place feels clean without that overly sanitized hotel smell. It’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works, the heating keeps up during winter, and you get the sense that someone actually cares about maintaining the place rather than just extracting maximum profit. For the price point and that 7.5 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable base in a genuinely liveable Sydney suburb that most visitors never discover.

  Location. Close to train and ferry.
  
  What could be improved: Parking outside building, to pick up key, changes to clearway at 3.00pm! Finding car space difficult. Thru boom gate, turn right, up ramp, sharp right then right then left then left . Last space at end!

  We were competing at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for a week, this was so close by and easily accessible. parking was great, we felt safe and secure, and the apartment was really lovely, I'd definitely book again.

  Location was great, size of the apartment was great and view from balcony great. Responded immediately to us for a toilet flush box that broke and had it fixed that day.
  There was an abundance if toilet paper tissues paper and dish washing liquid ( but no functional sink plug)
  
  What could be improved: That the apartment was set up for a short term stay where you would not want to regularly cook.
  No baking trays for the oven and no oven mitts. No microwave cooking dishes. No strainer for cooking pots. Sink plug broken and not replaced.
  Hair dryer had a European plug on it. Toilet brush fell apart. No hand towels in bathroom. Took 8 days to inspect what cable was needed for free to air TV ( fixed next day after inspection)
  The parking is in the visitors parking area, where signs are displayed No residence and Visitors 12 hours only. This was not the case as half the vehicles never left and the majority of the rest return each day. If You turn up late at night very possible to miss out and street parking just as bad( if I was to return I would need guaranteed parking spot)

  The kitchen was clean and tidy. It was also close to Accor stadium and there was a park nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately we found that the floors were dirty (unsure if they are stained or just water spills) and all of the walls had dirt all up them. Unfortunately the view is not really as advertised either.
  The shower pressure was weak and would flood the whole bathroom floor if u were showering longer than 2 minutes. The bed was very solid aswell.

  部屋は写真よりも広く感じました。広いバルコニーからは、港が一望できました。カウントダウン花火は、オペラハウス方面は見られませんでしたが、その他の方面は見られました。とても清潔でした。

  Größe und Ausstattung, wenn denn alles funktioniert hätte und alles vorhanden gewesen wäre.
  
  What could be improved: Die Sauberkeit: Schmutz überall – das Besteck lag verschmutzt in der Schublade.
  Bei der Spülmaschine konnte kein Pulver eingefüllt werden, weil die Klappe defekt war.
  In der Dusche war der Abfluss verstopft.
  Keine Kommunikation mit dem Personal. Auf unsere Reklamationen- begonnen am ersten Abend und mehr wiederholt- wurde nicht reagiert.
  Schade, dass man vorher alles bezahlen musste.
