Impeccable 3-Bed Home Near the Beach

You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually in one of those quiet residential streets that branch off from the main Manly strip – I mean, you’re literally three minutes from the beach, but it feels like you’re staying in a proper neighborhood where people actually live. The house itself is this clean, modern setup that doesn’t try too hard to be fancy, which honestly I appreciated after staying in some overly themed places around Sydney.

The three bedrooms are well thought out – and I say this as someone who’s crammed into way too many “sleeps 6” places that barely fit four people comfortably. The main bedroom gets great morning light, though if you’re sensitive to street noise, the back bedrooms might be your thing since the bins get collected pretty early on weekdays. What really sold me was the kitchen situation… it’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, not just reheating takeaway. There’s decent counter space and – this might sound weird – but the knives are actually sharp, which tells you the owners know what they’re doing. The living area flows nicely too, with enough seating that you won’t be fighting over the good couch spot after a long day at the beach.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being right in the chaos of the Corso. Walk down to the beach via Wentworth Street and you’ll hit the less crowded northern end of the main beach – locals know this is where you want to be anyway. The Manly Ferry wharf is maybe an eight-minute walk, ten if you’re carrying beach gear, and honestly that ferry ride back to Circular Quay never gets old. There’s a solid IGA about five minutes away for groceries, plus you’re close enough to wander down to the markets on weekends without it being a whole expedition. Parking was surprisingly manageable too – there’s space for two cars, which in Manly is basically gold. I’d definitely book this again, especially if you want that proper Sydney beach experience without paying harbor-view hotel prices or dealing with constant tourist foot traffic outside your window.
