You know what struck me first about this place? The name is absolutely terrible – I mean, who calls their accommodation “Ideally located 3 BR with Parking & Central & Darling Harbour-10 mins walk”? But honestly, don’t let that put you off because the location really is something special. I’m talking proper Sydney convenience here, tucked away on West End Lane in Ultimo where you get that perfect sweet spot between being close to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos.

The walk to Darling Harbour actually is about 10 minutes if you’re moving at a decent pace – I timed it because, well, I’m that kind of person. You’ll pass the old Powerhouse Museum (now the Powerhouse Ultimo) on your way, and there’s something quite nice about strolling through this part of town in the early morning when the coffee shops are just opening up. The apartment itself is solid three-star territory – nothing fancy, but everything works properly and there’s genuine character in the space. The three bedrooms are well-proportioned, and I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram four people into what should clearly be a space for six. The parking situation is actually a godsend in this part of Sydney; anyone who’s driven around Ultimo knows that street parking can be a nightmare, especially during weekdays when all the office workers descend on the area.

What really won me over was the practical stuff they got right. The kitchen has proper cooking equipment (not those sad single-burner setups you sometimes get), and the living area gets lovely afternoon light that makes the whole place feel more expensive than it probably is. You’re genuinely central here – Central Station is walkable, though I’d probably grab the light rail if I had heavy luggage. The building’s fairly quiet considering you’re basically in the middle of everything, though you’ll hear the occasional delivery truck in the early morning. I stayed during a particularly busy conference season and never felt like I was competing with crowds of tourists for space to breathe. The hosts seem to know their stuff too; check-in was straightforward, and they left some genuinely helpful local recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. For the price point and that 8-out-of-10 rating, this place delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable base in one of Sydney’s most connected neighborhoods where you can actually relax between exploring the city.

    The location was excellent.
    The property was clean and comfortable.
    The support staff were very helpful.
    The set up enabled three colleagues to stay together with separate rooms.

    What could be improved: The upstairs toilet was awkward to use as the door hits the toilet. The pressure of the downstairs shower was too heavy. Plastic wrapped toilet paper was unnecessary.

    It was hot weather and the owners would use a lot of energy cooling rooms. Real plants (rather than plastic) would provide some cooling and oxygen). Installing ceiling fans or a solo system would be more efficient overtime.
    We wanted to leave doors open during the night to allow ventilation but none have fly wire to keep out insects.

    The neighbours were loud a couple of nights and no-one on the street seems to understand recycling. Nina stuffed with goods destined for landfill.

    I had an amazing stay at Siya's lovely three-story townhouse in Ultimo! The place was super clean, felt really fresh and cozy, and had everything I needed to feel at home.
    The location is fantastic—just a quick two-minute walk to Broadway Shopping Centre, and there are so many great little cafes nearby to explore. Siya was super helpful and quick to respond whenever I had a question, and her instructions for check-in and everything else were really clear.
    Overall, it was such a great experience, and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
