Ideal Location 3 bdr Paddo Terrace Parking & Pets
You know what surprised me most about this Paddington terrace? It’s actually quiet. I mean, you’re right there on Regent Street, but the way these old Victorian houses are built – thick walls, high ceilings – you don’t get that constant traffic hum that drives you crazy in some Sydney rentals. Plus, honestly, Regent Street isn’t one of those main thoroughfares anyway. It’s more residential once you get past the strip of cafes near the Oxford Street end.
The three-bedroom setup works brilliantly if you’re traveling with family or friends who actually want some space from each other. The main bedroom’s got this gorgeous original fireplace (non-working, but still beautiful), and the other two rooms are decent sized – not those shoebox situations you sometimes get in converted terraces. What I loved was how they’ve kept the period features but added modern touches where it matters. The kitchen’s been updated with proper appliances, and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower, which… let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in these old places. The parking spot out back is a godsend too – trying to find street parking in Paddo during the day is basically a blood sport.
Location-wise, you’re about a seven-minute walk to Oxford Street, which puts you right in the heart of everything without being in the thick of Saturday night chaos. There’s this excellent little coffee place, Gumption, just around the corner that does proper flat whites, and if you head toward Five Ways, you’ve got some really solid restaurants. The whole area’s got this village feel that’s rare for somewhere so close to the city – you can walk to Hyde Park Barracks or catch the bus to Circular Quay easily, but it still feels like a proper neighborhood rather than a tourist zone. I noticed families with kids around, dog walkers in the evenings, that sort of thing. The fact that they welcome pets is pretty special too – most decent places in Sydney don’t, and there’s actually a good off-leash area in Trumper Park if you’re bringing your dog along. The hosts were genuinely helpful without being intrusive, and check-in was straightforward. That 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
