You know what struck me first about this place on Walker Street? It’s actually in North Sydney, not the CBD like you might think from the address – and honestly, that’s a good thing. I mean, you’re literally a quick train ride from Circular Quay, but without all the tourist chaos right outside your door. The building itself is one of those solid mid-rise apartment blocks that doesn’t try too hard to impress from the outside, but step into this particular unit and you realize someone actually thought about how people live.
The space feels genuinely livable – not like those cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. Two proper bedrooms, which is rare enough in Sydney, and the living area actually has room for everyone to spread out without feeling like you’re sitting on top of each other. The kitchen’s probably the highlight though – it’s got everything you need if you want to cook (and with Sydney food prices, you’ll want to at least make coffee and breakfast). I was surprised by how quiet it stays too, considering Walker Street can get busy during rush hour. The windows face away from the main traffic, so you get decent sleep even with them cracked open.
What really sells this place is the neighborhood vibe – you’re walking distance to some solid local cafes that haven’t been completely overrun by tourists yet, and there’s actually parking available most of the time (though you’ll pay for it, this is Sydney after all). The train station’s maybe an eight-minute walk, which sounds annoying but honestly isn’t bad once you get used to it. Plus you can grab groceries and essentials without having to trek across the city. The building’s well-maintained – clean hallways, decent lift that doesn’t make weird noises – and check-in was surprisingly smooth. I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney apartments where you’re fumbling with lockboxes and unclear instructions, but this was refreshingly straightforward. It’s definitely earned that 4-star rating, though I’d say it punches above its weight in terms of value. For families or groups who want actual space and don’t need to be right in the thick of things, this hits the sweet spot between convenience and sanity.

The location is superb! Close to shopping centres, restaurants and the train station. The view that the property offers is amazing and the host responded promptly.
What could be improved: Had to collect the keys to the property from a different location. The host provided clear instructions where and how to get it. Would’ve been more convenient if it is at the property, especially after a long travel.Superb – Amber from Australia – 25 May 2025 (9/10)
