The thing about this place is it sits in one of those quiet residential streets that tourists usually miss entirely. You know how Kirribilli can be – it’s got that village-y feel even though you’re minutes from the CBD. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home (in the best way), not some sterile hotel room. I mean, the kitchen actually has proper coffee gear, and there’s this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. The view though – honestly, it’s almost distracting. You’ll find yourself just standing at the window at different times of day because the light changes everything. Early morning, the Bridge has this golden thing going on, and at night… well, you get the full harbour light show without fighting crowds at Circular Quay.

What really sells me on this spot is the location knowledge you get just by being there. You’re a five-minute walk to Milsons Point station, which means you can be at Central in fifteen minutes, but you’re also stumbling distance from some of Kirribilli’s best-kept secrets. There’s this little café around the corner that locals queue up for (the one with the ridiculous good sourdough), and you’re close enough to the weekend markets to grab fresh stuff without the tourist madness. Parking can be a bit of a dance – it’s Sydney, after all – but the apartment comes with a spot, which honestly saves you about $50 a day if you’re driving. The only thing I’d mention is that harbour views come with harbour sounds, so if you’re sensitive to the occasional ferry horn or early morning runners, pack earplugs. But really, that’s part of the charm – you’re living in one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, not just looking at postcards of it. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in accommodation, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually experience Sydney rather than just tick boxes.
