You know what caught me off guard about this Quinton Road place? The location is actually way better than I expected for a one-bedroom loft in Manly. I mean, when I first saw the address I thought it might be tucked away somewhere forgettable, but honestly – you’re basically a five-minute stroll from the corso and maybe seven minutes tops to the beach. The loft itself sits in this quiet residential pocket that feels properly local, not touristy at all, which is refreshing when you’re staying in one of Sydney’s busier beach suburbs.
The space has this unexpectedly polished vibe – clean lines, good natural light streaming through decent-sized windows, and the kind of thoughtful touches that suggest someone actually lives in places like this rather than just designing them for short stays. The bedroom’s comfortable without being fancy, and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really appreciated was how well-equipped the kitchen area is; you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to save money instead of eating out every night on the corso. The bathroom’s compact but functional, with good water pressure – sometimes it’s the simple things that matter most when you’re dealing with sandy beach days.
But here’s the thing that makes this spot work so well – you’re close enough to walk to everything that matters in Manly (the ferry wharf, the beach, all those cafes along the corso), but far enough up from the main drag that you don’t get the weekend noise that can make beachside stays pretty rough. I stayed here during a busy summer period and was genuinely surprised how quiet the street stays, even on Friday and Saturday nights. Plus, being on Quinton Road means you’re actually closer to some of the better local spots that visitors often miss – there’s this excellent coffee place just around the corner that does proper breakfast, and you’re walking distance to the northern end of the beach where it’s less crowded. The whole setup just feels more authentic than those generic beachfront apartments where you’re paying extra to hear drunk backpackers at 2am. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between convenience and actually being able to relax, this loft pretty much nails it.

Everything! Loved the beds and the showers, and the cozy living room we have. The loft is always well equipped with a kitchen (dishwasher, air fryer, microwave toaster coffee machine!) The place is located 10mins walk away from the beach and busy Manly so it’s nice to head back for a peaceful and quiet stay.
