Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Murray Street – it’s one of those apartments that does exactly what it says on the tin. The name literally tells you everything: fireworks views (yeah, during New Year’s and major events), a decent pool, and parking that’s actually included, which honestly is worth its weight in gold in Sydney CBD.
The location is pretty solid if you know Sydney at all. You’re right in the thick of things on Murray Street, which means you can walk to Circular Quay in about ten minutes – I’ve done it in heels, so it’s definitely doable. Wynyard Station is even closer, maybe five minutes if you’re not dragging a massive suitcase. The building itself is one of those modern apartment towers that sprouted up everywhere in the 2000s, nothing fancy but clean and functional. I mean, you’re on the 5th floor, so the views are decent enough during the day, and when there’s actually fireworks happening, you’ll get a pretty good show without fighting the crowds down at the harbor.
The pool situation is actually better than I expected – it’s not huge, but it’s clean and usually not too crowded during weekdays. Perfect for a quick dip after walking around the city all day, especially in summer when the concrete just radiates heat. Parking is in the building garage, which saved me about $50 a day compared to the street parking nightmare that is Sydney CBD. The apartment itself feels like a standard serviced apartment – kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Woolies on George Street, though honestly, with all the restaurants around, I barely used it except for morning coffee.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re smack in the middle of everything. The building’s got decent sound insulation, so you’re not hearing every drunk person stumbling home from the pubs. Though I should mention – if there’s construction happening nearby (and let’s be real, there’s always construction somewhere in Sydney), you might catch some noise during the day. The check-in was pretty standard, nothing special but no drama either. You know what though? The whole setup works really well if you’re planning to explore the city properly. You can walk to the Opera House, the Bridge, all the major stuff, then come back and actually relax by the pool instead of being stuck in some tiny hotel room. It’s not going to blow your mind, but for a 4-star place with a 7 rating, it delivers on the basics plus those little extras that make a difference – especially that parking and the genuine harbor glimpses during fireworks season.

Reviews
A little disappointing. – Harris from Australia – 7 April 2025 (7/10)
Appartments and location great.Air conditioner not working therefore had to have doors open during night which was noisy due to traffic.
Construction on Friday and Saturday was irritating due to noise.
Family came from Canada so enjoyed fireworks on Saturday evening.Things to take into consideration! – Michelle from Australia – 9 June 2025 (7/10)
It was close to things that we had booked.
What could be improved: Only had one key to the 2 bedroom apartment, no face washers, reception wasn't all that helpful and needed a non slip mat in the bathroom that had the bath.
