From the moment you walk into this third-floor unit on Rowe Street, those floor-to-ceiling windows just draw you in. I mean, you’re getting proper city views here, not some glimpse of a neighbor’s rooftop that passes for a “skyline view” in half these listings.

The three bedrooms are genuinely spacious – honestly, I’ve stayed in hotels that charged twice as much for rooms half this size. The master bedroom faces east, so you’ll get that gorgeous morning light streaming in (though if you’re a late sleeper, maybe pack an eye mask). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of Bondi Junction. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Westfield and the train station, but the street itself is surprisingly peaceful. The kitchen’s got everything you actually need – not just the basics but proper cookware, which is rare in short-term rentals. I ended up cooking most mornings because, well, the coffee setup was decent and there’s a Woolworths practically downstairs.

Here’s the thing about this location that the photos don’t really capture – you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the beach (it’s about fifteen minutes to Bondi Beach proper) but you’re also connected to the city by train in under twenty minutes. The Junction can feel a bit chaotic during peak shopping hours, especially weekends, but that’s actually part of its charm. There’s this energy that feels very Sydney to me. The building itself is solid – good lift, secure entry, and the parking spot (yes, you get one) is in the basement garage, which honestly saves you so much hassle in this area. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the shower pressure in the second bathroom is a bit weak, but the main ensuite is perfectly fine.

What really sealed it for me was sitting on that balcony in the evening with a drink, watching the city lights flicker on. It’s one of those moments where you feel like you’re living in Sydney, not just visiting. The host was responsive without being intrusive, and check-in was smooth – they’ve got the key lockbox system down pat. If you’re looking for that authentic Sydney experience without the beach crowds but still want easy access to everything, this place hits the mark. Just don’t expect luxury hotel amenities – it’s a real apartment with real character, which is exactly what makes it work.
