Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places around Sydney, and this spot on Pyrmont Street honestly caught me off guard in the best way. You know how sometimes a place just clicks? That’s what happened here. I mean, the name is a bit of a mouthful – “Darling Harbour stunning city location with pool, gym, wifi, Netflix” – but don’t let that put you off because whoever named it wasn’t lying about any of it.
The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos of George Street. Pyrmont’s got this interesting vibe where it feels residential but you’re literally a five-minute walk from Darling Harbour’s waterfront. I spent half my first morning just wandering around – there’s this great little coffee spot called Campos just down the street that the locals seem to love, and honestly, after trying their flat white, I could see why. The building itself sits in this sweet spot where you can walk to Circular Quay (about fifteen minutes if you don’t mind the slight uphill), but you’re also close enough to the casino and convention center area that you feel connected to everything. What really sold me was stepping out onto the balcony that first evening and realizing you can actually see the harbour lights twinkling through the buildings – not a full harbour view, mind you, but enough to remind you where you are.
The pool area became my refuge, especially during those sticky February afternoons when Sydney’s heat gets a bit much. It’s not huge, but it’s clean and surprisingly quiet given how central everything is. The gym is decent too – nothing fancy, but it’s got what you need and the air conditioning actually works (you’d be surprised how many hotel gyms mess that up). What I really appreciated was how the wifi didn’t slow to a crawl every evening like it does at so many places. I could actually stream Netflix in my room without wanting to throw the remote at the wall, which honestly made those post-sightseeing wind-down sessions so much better. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – when I asked about the best way to get to Bondi, the guy at the front desk actually drew me a little map showing which train connections would be fastest depending on the time of day. That 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience little touches like that. It’s not the fanciest place I’ve ever stayed, but there’s something to be said for a hotel that just works really well without trying too hard to impress you.

Everything is ready with an excellent bedding setup in this spacious apartment upon arrival. Very clean with lots of details, showing a family with kids is well-thought-out. Appreciated the mattress & the sofa beds are firm enough to support the backbone, so we all had a good sleep. The kitchen is one of my favourites, it is well-equipped as at home, we can easily make a cup of coffee, tea, and cook when the seasonings, pots, cutlery, and dishwasher, etc are provided. Downstairs SPA is an absolute added bonus after a long day, and helps to spend the waiting time while the bathroom is busy. The people/tourists who live in the big building are friendly and respectful, that can sure it is a safe place to stay. As Darling Harbor is around 8 minutes walking distance away, where we enjoyed the food, and the children's playground. We like the little balcony that also worked well to invite the fresh air, & hang wet clothes, capture the good views.
What could be improved: We wish we had chosen the taxi/Uber at the 1st arrival. If traveling with a suitcase, it is challenging to walk from Townhall Station (the main train station in the CBD) to the apartment, as it is a long walk with stairs. Finding the building burned the brainpower as we had to cross the car park from level 2 before reaching the building as no clear direction noted on the car park lift.Amazing location – Nhung from United Kingdom – 18 April 2025 (10/10)
The apartment has great location, minutes away from Darling Harbour and Sydney Fish Market. We were a group of three and it was very spacious. Skye is a great host as well, super responsive and flexible. Highly recommend!

What could be improved: NothingI'd be happy to stay there again. – Brad from Australia – 16 December 2024 (10/10)
The location of this apartment is perfect for a short walk to Darling Harbour and China Town. A beautiful comfortable apartment in a stunning, old, traditional building. The apartment is clean, funky and convenient.
Superb – Robert from Australia – 13 December 2024 (9/10)
Historical building is wonderful on outside (wool storehouse) and inside architecture really well done. Loved the unit decor with all the colour – elephant wallpaper was unique! Great to have a balcony with sunset views – not a harbour view but nice open view including the roof garden next door. Perfect location for anyone going to DH convention centre or powerhouse.
What could be improved: Although Darling Harbour ferry and T1 line is close by, not a central transport hub if you are doing a lot of travelling during your visit.
