I mean, I was expecting to be woken up by delivery trucks at 5 AM, but honestly, I slept better here than at most hotels.

The whole setup feels like your friend with good taste let you crash at their place. Two proper bedrooms (not those weird hotel rooms where one “bedroom” is basically a living room with a curtain), and the kitchen – well, it’s the kind where you’ll actually want to cook instead of just reheating takeout. I ended up making breakfast most mornings because the Woolworths on Union Street is right there, and there’s something oddly satisfying about having your coffee while looking out at the harbor glimpses between buildings. The parking situation is honestly a godsend if you’re driving around Sydney – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve paid $40 a day for hotel parking in the city. Here it’s included, and you’re not doing some twenty-point turn in a tiny garage.

What really sells this place though is how it sits in Pyrmont. You’re close enough to walk to Darling Harbour when the mood strikes (though honestly, skip the touristy restaurants there and hit up the pubs on Harris Street instead), but far enough from the convention center crowds that you feel like you’re in an actual neighborhood. The Star Casino is right there if that’s your thing, but I loved how easy it was to just hop on the light rail and be in the CBD in ten minutes. And here’s something nobody tells you – the Sunday markets at Pyrmont Bay Park are actually worth checking out, especially if you’re staying over a weekend.

The apartment itself has that clean, modern feel without being sterile. Good water pressure – always important – and the beds are actually comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty. My only minor gripe was that the living room TV could be bigger, but honestly, you’re in Sydney, so who’s spending time watching TV anyway? The whole place just works well for either a couple wanting space to spread out, or friends sharing who don’t want to be on top of each other. Check-in was smooth, no awkward waiting around in a lobby, and the hosts actually respond to messages quickly when you need something.

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney accommodations, and this one just gets it right. It’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just comfortable and smart about what travelers actually need. Plus, being in Pyrmont means you’re connected to everything without being overwhelmed by it. That 9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should.

  Very spacious, modern and clean. Great location and near station.
  
  What could be improved: A bit of inconvenience to pick up the key from a block or two away and no milk to accompany the great tea/coffee facilities.
