Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this place on Wentworth Avenue – I mean, it’s not exactly the most glamorous street name, you know? But walking into this fourth-floor apartment, I actually said “wow” out loud. The space is genuinely chic (not just trying to be), with these floor-to-ceiling windows that flood everything with light and give you this sneaky good view of the city skyline.
What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s set up. The kitchen actually has proper knives – like, ones that cut things – and enough counter space that you don’t feel like you’re doing surgery every time you want to make breakfast. The bedrooms are tucked away nicely so you’re not hearing your travel companion’s Netflix binge at midnight, and the main bedroom has this really comfortable bed that didn’t leave me feeling like I’d been wrestling with a pretzel all night. The bathroom’s compact but clever, with one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in there way too long.
But here’s what I really loved about staying here – you’re basically in the heart of Surry Hills without being right on top of the chaos. Crown Street’s just a few blocks away, so you can walk to all those excellent cafes and restaurants (seriously, the coffee culture here is intense in the best way), but you’re far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with weekend crowds stumbling past your windows. The building itself is quiet – I was worried about street noise since Wentworth can get busy, but the double-glazed windows do their job. There’s no dedicated parking, which is sort of expected for this area, but there’s decent street parking if you’re willing to do a bit of circling, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much anyway. Central Station is close enough that you can hear the occasional train if you’re really listening, but it’s more of a gentle urban hum than anything disruptive.
The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward key-juggling or confusing building codes that make you feel like you’re breaking into someone’s place. Everything just worked the way it should, from the wifi to the air conditioning to the little touches like having actual hangers in the closets instead of those useless hotel ones. I mean, it’s not a massive space, so if you’re traveling with someone you don’t get along with, you might want to reconsider, but for friends or couples, it strikes that perfect balance between having your own space and being able to hang out together. The whole place just feels like someone actually lives there and cares about the details, rather than some corporate housing setup where everything’s beige and boring.

Loved the apartment. Layout, furniture, everything was amazing. Had such a great stay!
What could be improved: Couldn't get netflix to work. Wish the lock box was mounted on the wall, it rained whilst trying to put the keys back in.Superb – Shane from Australia – 24 January 2025 (9/10)
