You know what surprised me about this place? The minute I walked into this one-bedroom on Barker Street, I actually felt like I was in someone’s thoughtfully put-together home rather than just another rental. The whole setup has this relaxed, modern vibe that honestly makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay a while – which is exactly what you want when you’re dealing with Sydney’s hotel prices.

The location is where this place really shines, and I mean that in ways that aren’t immediately obvious. Sure, everyone talks about being a “short walk to Coogee Beach” (and it genuinely is – about 10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but what I loved was how you’re right in the heart of Randwick without feeling like you’re stuck in tourist central. There’s this great little coffee spot just down the street that locals actually go to, and the Prince of Wales Hospital being so close meant the area felt safe and well-lit even when I was wandering back late from dinner. The bus connections along Barker Street are fantastic too – you can get to the city or pop over to Bondi Junction without thinking twice about it.

What really got me was the attention to detail inside. The kitchen actually has everything you need (not just the bare minimum like some places), and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a mattress all night. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure – honestly, after staying in some Sydney places where the shower feels like a gentle mist, this was refreshing. The only minor thing I’d mention is that Barker Street can get a bit busy during peak hours, but the windows do a good job of keeping most of the noise out, and it quiets down nicely in the evenings.

The whole experience felt effortless, from check-in to check-out, and that 9.1 rating makes total sense when you’re actually staying there. It’s one of those places where everything just… works. The WiFi didn’t cut out, the air conditioning did its job during those warm Sydney afternoons, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in rather than living out of your suitcase. If you’re someone who wants to experience Sydney like you actually live there – grabbing morning coffee with locals, walking to one of the city’s best beaches, having easy access to everything without paying tourist-trap prices – this spot delivers on that in a way that feels genuine rather than manufactured.

  Very well set up with everything you need. Only 10 min walk to Randwick light rail station and shopping area, and about 15 min to UNSW. Buses nearby too. Feels secure as a fob is required to use the lift. Having dedicated car park lot (basement) is very helpful

  Super comfy, and really appreciated all the pillows and the early parking thank you. The property is very convenient to the hospital. It has everything you need. The sliding doors at either end of the apartment make it feel open and lovely. Great shower. Super comfy bed and good air con.
  
  What could be improved: On one occasion, the foyer door was faulty and another apartment occupant and I were unable to exit the building via the front foyer door.

  Location was great & met our needs. In room supplies were a great treat & of great standards. Beds were comfy making our stay very comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: Preadvised our check in was @ 2pm. We arrived at property around 2.40pm, with instructions of key safe pin, only to find no key in key lock by this time, only to find out after 5-10 mins of waiting for a returned message of this fault, after the cleaner handed the key to us in the car park advising she was still cleaning the room, lucky we were late, given the advised check in time.
  The room could be supplied with extra bath towels, plus be of larger size.

  Absolutely fantastic!! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
  The unit was immaculate and all the facilities made it extremely comfortable.
  We loved the convenient location to shops, public transport and Coogee Beach is absolutely wonderful to walk along the pedestrian paths which have beautiful natural vegetation gardens and many varieties of bird life.

  Close to the Prince of Wales Hospital and surrounding shops, plenty of places to get food. Modern fit out. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom and shower pressure. Good kitchen with full size fridge.

  Apartment 位置十分好，既安靜，又與supermarket 及餐廳的位置十分之鄰近。而且去大部份的地方也很方便。
  
  What could be improved: Apartment 已十分舒適，設備完善，很難找到不滿意的地方。如果真的要講，便只可說sofa bed 旁邊的窗簾遮光度不足。
