So I stumbled across this place while looking for something decent in the CBD that wouldn’t completely destroy my budget, and honestly? Central City 2BR Ensuite turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t expect when booking online. The moment you walk in, you get why it’s pulling an 8.8 rating – there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how real people live, not just where they crash for a night.

The two-bedroom setup is brilliant if you’re traveling with friends or family, but even solo travelers will appreciate having that extra space to spread out. What really got me though were those scenic views they mention – you’re looking out over the Sydney CBD, and depending on which side you’re on, you might catch glimpses of the harbour between the buildings. I mean, it’s not a full harbour view (let’s be realistic about what you’re paying), but there’s something pretty satisfying about watching the city wake up from your window with coffee in hand. The ensuite situation is clutch too – no awkward bathroom sharing with strangers, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to get ready in the morning.

Location-wise, you’re smack in the middle of everything without being right on top of the chaos. You can walk to Circular Quay in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling energetic, or just hop on pretty much any bus or train from nearby. The grocery stores are close enough that you can actually use that kitchen (and you should – eating out in the CBD every meal will bankrupt you), and there’s a decent coffee place around the corner that locals actually go to, not just tourists. Noise levels are surprisingly manageable for city center accommodation – you’ll get some street sounds during the day, but it’s not like you’re camping next to a construction site. Check-in was smooth enough, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time because they’re not staffed 24/7 like the big hotels. The whole place feels more like a well-maintained apartment than a sterile hotel room, which is exactly what you want when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a quick business trip. It’s that sweet spot between location, comfort, and not feeling like you need to take out a second mortgage to afford it.

  Location was excellent, very close to down town and all major Sydney attractions. The area was quiet at nights. Close to the train station and surrounded by very good restaurants. The apartment was big and comfortable, the views from the terrace were great. We appreciate the olive oil and other groceries offered in the apartment. The communication with the owner was also very good.
  
  What could be improved: Air extraction system in the toilets was really noise. It’s a centralized system so, for example, even if the toilet at the master room was not in use, the system turned on while the second toilet was in use and it was disturbing. The terrace was not really clean when we arrived.

  The location was excellent. We loved the space, private bedrooms each with its own bathroom access, cleanliness and full kitchen.
  
  What could be improved: We had trouble with the gas stove that had a small leak we could smell & made us feel unwell. The next day a plumber was found to fix the issue – what a difference to the air quality, we slept so well. Our only problem was that we had to be around for the plumber & to and fro phone calls, this took a good part of our day. There was no towel or soap for the downstairs toilet, we used our supply from upstairs.

  Echt een top locatie! Accommodatie heeft alles, fijne keuken, woonkamer en 2 slaapkamer met goede bedden. 1 kamer heeft een king bed en 1 een queen bed.
  Het was tijdens ons verblijf heel rustig in het gebouw. Je hoort wel de stratenvegers in de ochtend.
  
  What could be improved: De sleutel moet 10 minuten verderop in een winkel opgehaald worden. Met veel spullen en kinderen is dat niet ideaal.
  Bij onze check out bleek de winkel nog dicht te zijn terwijl aangegeven was dat deze open had moeten zijn. Contact met host was heel slecht. Bij check out kwamen ze niet met een oplossing, want de winkel had open moeten zijn. Zelf een oplossing gevonden.
  We was geen bril op het toilet in de ensuite badkamer. In de 5 nachten dat we daar verbleven hebben ze dit niet kunnen fixen. Kregen elke keer excuses, maar nooit een oplossing. Dus als er niks aan de hand is is het een top plek anders moet je het probleem zelf oplossen helaas.
